Lisa Rinna has always been open about her relationship with her husband, Harry Hamlin. She has no problems sharing both the good and the bad that come with marriage and making it work. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum admits that things aren’t always “cute all the time.”
Even Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin’s marriage has challenges
Lisa is booked and busy promoting her new memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It.
She appeared on Dinner’s on Me with Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s podcast last February 24 and opened up about her decades-long romance with Harry. The actress admitted that “it’s not cute all the time,” and that marriage “takes a lot of work.”
“We’re human, and I think it’s super important to show your humanity,” Lisa shared. “Where I am in my life right now, I think it’s really important for people to hear that it’s not easy to be married for all these years. It’s not easy to raise a family anywhere, let alone Hollywood.”
Lisa and Harry met in 1992 and began dating the same year. They got engaged and married in 1997. The couple has two daughters, Delilah and Amelia. Harry also has a son with his ex, Ursula Andress.
Lisa admitted that marriage can sometimes be harder than expected because “life gets difficult.” But it’s important for couples to put in the work. “You can start to grow apart, and then you gotta make sure you come back together. It’s work,” she explained. “A good marriage is a lot of work.”
She also added that mutual respect and therapy really help, along with just the right amount of luck. Lisa seems to know her stuff. There have been several divorces in the Housewives world, but she and Harry are still going strong.
