Welcome to The Valley Season 3 Episode 1 recap. Last time, Jesse brought his girlfriend, Lacy Nicole, to an event. And Michelle was not pleased. Meanwhile, Kristen and Luke tried to navigate intimacy issues and parenthood. Here’s what happened in The Valley Season 3 Episode 1: “Snip snip.”
What happened in The Valley Season 3 Episode 2?

Lala held a first birthday party for her daughter, Sosa. However, her attempt to reunite Janet and Nia failed. Meanwhile, Luke and Kristen struggled to connect, while Michelle opened up to Schwartz.
Luke and Kristen aren’t on the same page in The Valley

Luke finally explained his feelings to Kristen. “I just feel that we’ve been neglecting ourselves and our relationship. Would you rather us have a night in, and have her at Brittany’s house?” Luke asked. “Or have a babysitter here, and we go out?”
Kristen declined both options. “Intimacy has been an issue for us,” Luke replied. He wants to get “back to our old sex life.” Cue their dog getting busy with a stuffed toy in the background.
“I hate that idea,” Kristen told her fiancé. Well, at least she’s honest! “I absolutely understand Luke’s needs. But the actual thought of sex … I just pushed a baby out of my vagina,” Kristen admitted in her confessional. “My head’s just not there.”
The Valley’s Zack goes hard at Brittany

Meanwhile, Brittany was at home with her son, Cruz, who is autistic. She changed Cruz’s playroom into a sensory room. Her bestie Zack stopped over, and in a heartwarming moment, Cruz said Zack’s name. Brittany was beaming as she smiled at her son. “He is more social. And a lot of it is because Jax [Taylor’s] negative energy is not around,” she noted.
Then, Zack brought up Brittany’s new friend, Brandon. “It is moving far too fast,” Zack told his bestie. “It’s almost like we picked up from years ago. But I am really still focusing on me,” Brittany insisted.
However, Zack was blunt. “He has two baby mamas, though,” he said. “Well, the good thing about Brandon is, he told me everything. Like, he did not lie about anything,” Brittany stated.
“Do you not see some of the similarities with Jax?” Zack asked. “Not at all. He is not confrontational at all,” she replied as Zack rolled his eyes.
In his confessional, Zack sounded off. “My God! He has three kids by two different women. Drama with both.” He added, “He doesn’t even live here. This is a recipe for disaster.”
Zack told Brittany that he was referring to “that personality that’s able to manipulate you, captivate you, pull you in, get what he wants, and then move on.” When Brittany said that she has “been single for almost two years now,” Zack exclaimed, “No! You’re still rebounding.” When Brittany disagreed, he said, “The denial that you have is insane!”
In her confessional, Brittany remarked, “Zack means well. He’s just coming at me a little aggressive. Let me live.”
Happy Birthday, Sosa!

Lala hosted a party for Sosa, complete with a lifeguard. Lala introduced herself after deciding that the lifeguard was “hot.” Later, she suggested that he take her number. ‘I’ll catch you later – at nap time,” Lala told him.
Meanwhile, Lala reflected on Sosa’s birthday. “This is a huge milestone. She just completed the family,” Lala said in her talking head. “It just felt so right.”
Naturally, Michelle and Schwartz were busy flirting. “I think I underestimated Michelle. I thought she was kind of like this meager, kind of quiet, soft-spoken person,” Schwartz said in his confessional. “But she’s kind of a baddie. She’s kind of a MILF.” Oof.
Meanwhile, Janet continued her apology tour. She approached Jasmine and apologized “for really just speaking on stuff I wasn’t involved in.”
“My whole mind was like, this friendship is dead. I had a funeral for you in my brain,” Jasmine explained. “Before, you would have been in my wedding. And I’m thinking now I’m like, ‘Oh sh*t. Janet’s not going to be in my wedding.’ That’s crazy,” she added.
However, Janet would like an apology from Jasime. She is hoping that Jasmine will say sorry for the names that she called her during last season’s argument at the beach. “I was heated, because literally I have you two coming at me,” Jasine said.
However, Janet defended her own actions, stating that she felt the same way. “It’s like Janet just Janeting,” Jasmine quipped in her talking head. “I guess therapy’s really working for you.”
Will Janet and Nia make up?

Luke told Schwartz that he and Kristen finally hooked up for the first time since Kaia’s arrival. Then Luke asked Schwartz about Michelle, but he laughed it off. Somehow, Lala persuaded Nia to give Janet a chance. This interaction was so awkward! And when Janet asked Nia if there was anything that she’d like to talk about, she said no. So, Janet congratulated her and walked away. What?!
Then, Janet pulled her buddy Jared into a room and closed the door. Of course, she gave him the play-by-play with Nia. “If we go below the surface, she doesn’t want to talk about what has happened,” Janet said. Unfortunately, Nia opened that door as she looked for a private place to nurse baby Adelaide. Oops! While Janet acknowledged in her interview that she owes Nia an apology, Nia is no longer interested in a friendship with Janet.
And, at an airline-themed bar, the two people not invited to Sosa’s party, Jesse and Zack, met up for a drink. And Jesse shared that he met Lacy when he was 30 years old. They texted constantly until he met Michelle. Then they reconnected 10 years later.
“The thing about Lacy and I, is I feel like we’re equals when it comes to conversation, intellect. With Michelle, I always felt like she wasn’t participating,” Jesse said in his confessional. “She was just like kind of there for the ride.” Is he dissing Michelle’s intellect? As for Schwartz and Michelle being flirty at the sip n’ see? Jesse doesn’t seem to mind, while Zack “doesn’t like it.”
Lacy and Jesse’s dynamic is interesting

When a producer asked Jesse how he would describe Lacy, he replied, “She may be one of the strongest women I’ve ever met. She is also very classy, and a little bougie.” However, in a joint confessional, Lacy said, “I don’t want to be bougie. I’m always trying to reverse bougie Uno card.”
In her talking head, Lacy explained how she got married in her 20s, had a daughter, and was divorced shortly thereafter. “And landed on Jesse Lally,” she said. When the producer asked if she “did well in your divorce,” Lacy replied, “Yeah. I did well in my divorce, as every woman should.”
During dinner, Jesse asked his girlfriend if she would consider moving to Los Angeles. However, Lacy wasn’t feeling it. She simply doesn’t want to uproot her daughter. In her talking head, Lacy explained, “Isabella and Coco get along great. They have, like, their own language. It’s like them against us.”
At the table, Lacy teased Jesse about being “clingy.” Jesse stated in an interview, “Lacy is perfectly hard on me to make sure I keep growing as a person.” Then, Lacy and Jesse discussed how she will begin hormone shots to freeze her eggs. “I just want to have the option one day,” she clarified.
“I love you very much,” Jesse said, while she responded, “Thank you.” She added, “I swear, I’m really nice and loving.” I do like Lacy and Jesse as a couple … I think.
Schwartz and Michelle get salty in The Valley

Michelle and Schwartz hit up the Valley Salt Cave. They entered a large salt cave with a sound bath healer. After the sound bath, Michelle shared that she grew up “so spiritual and religious.” She is still struggling with the death of her mom.
Meanwhile, Schwartz is going through a tough time. “My family’s in complete f*cking disarray,” Schwartz said. “My dad is living by himself.” Sadly, his father started to “deteriorate again slowly over the past few years.”
Michelle urged him to talk to his father as often as possible. “I wish I could go back and talk to her more,” Michelle added of her mom. “I don’t talk about it often.” In her confessional, she explained, “I had to watch my mom die in front of my eyes. And that was very hard. I’m still not okay.”
As they talked, Schwartz suggested an “energy reset,” and Michelle was on board with a trip to San Diego. Eventually, Michelle asked her new co-star, “What are you looking for?”
He replied, “I am sad that I don’t have a family right now. But, I think I’ll find it.” He is finally ready to put himself “back out there.”
Meanwhile, Danny updated Nia about his vasectomy consult. And he wasn’t exactly telling the truth. He said that he must spend 10 days recuperating in bed and can’t help around the house. Sure.
Unfortunately, Nia had a tough day. After “moving to Santa Clarita,” Nia feels “a bit isolated and removed from my friends.” She added in her talking head, “I’m exhausted, my nervous system is just dunzo and then I have to clean up before bed.”
Nia is obviously emotional. “I’ve been stressed plenty in my life, but it feels like a whole other level right now,” she told her husband, outlining her concerns about giving enough to their four children. Instead of hearing her worries, Danny urged her to “focus on what’s most important,” and he turned it into a sex joke. “I think I’m just on the verge of burnout,” Nia responded.
The Valley airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. Episodes will stream on Peacock.
