Two years ago, Real Housewives of Orange County alum Dr. Jen Armstrong posted her speculations about Melissa Gorga, specifically her history with plastic surgery. Jen, a cosmetic dermatologist, used two images of this Real Housewives of New Jersey star as her proof. This was all a part of Jen’s brief “Celebrity Review” series on YouTube. But as Melissa recently confessed, Jen’s “f*cked up” opinions really ticked her off.
Melissa Gorga said the former Bravo star’s comments were “so uncomfortable”
In 2024, Jen posted a reel, penning, “You requested, and I listened … the long-awaited Celebrity Review: Melissa Gorga. I think she looks stunning in both photos! Let’s take a closer look.”
In her video, Jen suggested that Melissa’s undergone “a rhinoplasty,” “brow lift,” “a little filler” under her eyes, ”lip filler,” and some “chin tox” to “soften” her “long face.” Fast forward to Melissa attending Bovita Health‘s launch at Ludlow House in New York City last week, opening up to US Weekly about Jen’s plastic surgery assumptions.
First off, Melissa argued, Jen used an “after” photo that showed her with “so much makeup on, I barely even look like myself.” Second, “this is messed up that somebody does this.” As Melissa explained, “Does anybody know what it’s like to have someone sit there with a pin and like, going down your nose and … I was like, this is so f*cked up.”
Also, Jen got a few things wrong, Melissa stressed. “She was saying, ‘[Melissa] definitely did something here to her chin.’ I’ve never touched my chin in my life,” she clarified. Furthermore, Melissa explained, “She was saying, like, ‘She definitely has done something with her eyebrows.’ I never did my eyebrows.”
Even though Jen was complementary, “throwing some nice little curve balls,” Melissa still felt that “this is just so weird that someone has my face on a screen and she’s just pinpointing what I’ve done.” But as Melissa admitted, “I guess that’s like the ups and downs of being in the spot[light]. But watching it, I was, like, I’m so uncomfortable.”
