The drama continues. Kim Zolciak has lost joint custody of the four children she shares with Kroy Biermann. While this ruling is temporary, it’s just the latest twist in the ongoing legal saga between the Real Housewives of Atlanta alums. Kroy claims Kim hasn’t been present for their kids, but Kim says there’s more to the story.
A judge just ruled on Kroy’s emergency motion

The back-and-forth custody battle between Kim and Kroy reignited back in March when he went to court and filed an emergency motion demanding sole custody of their kids.
The exes have previously signed a temporary joint custody agreement, but Kroy argued that Kim “neglects” their kids. Specifically, he called out his wife for leaving the country for a month.
When she left the country, it was because she was filming for two upcoming reality TV shows, but either way, Kroy told the judge that she wasn’t a present parent. He said she seemed less focused on the kids and “more selfishly concerned with her own image and her work options.”
According to new court documents reviewed by TMZ, a judge just sided with Kroy. The exes will continue to share joint legal custody, but he now has sole physical custody of the kids. He has final decision-making authority on education, non-emergency medical, and religious decisions, per the court docs.
Meanwhile, Kim is adamant that there’s more to the story. She shared a statement to TMZ, reiterating that this ruling is temporary, and she’ll have her day in court.
“The judge’s decision … is temporary until our return court date on May 21st, when we will have the opportunity for a full hearing,” Kim said.
She continued, “While I want this process to be over for my children more than anything, I am looking forward to our court date on May 21st, when we will finally be provided with an opportunity to present the truth.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is airing new episodes on Sundays at 8/7c. You can stream it on Peacock the following day.
