Kim Zolciak is fighting back against the claims of poor parenting. Those allegations were made by her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann. The former NFL player and the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum are going through an ugly custody battle after nearly a dozen years of marriage.
The notion that she neglects the kids is one that Kim does not agree with. Her custody was temporarily suspended following Kroy’s filings. According to Kim, the former Atlanta Falcons linebacker hasn’t been entirely sincere.
The reality star responded after her ex made claims about their parenting situation
The custody battle between Kim and Kroy appears to be turning into a he-said-she-said affair. Kim filed court documents last week, claiming that Kroy’s allegations that she neglects her kids are false. Her documents, obtained by TMZ, state that the temporary custody decision was made a little too quickly. She suggests Kroy’s filings came without proper witnesses coming forward or testimony from a therapist who speaks for the family.
According to Kim, the therapist received a subpoena to be a witness in this case but refused to honor that. She adds that she couldn’t grill the witnesses present, including the court-ordered lawyer. Because she couldn’t reveal Kroy’s alleged false claims, Kim says that she couldn’t expose him legally.
Kroy claims the RHOA alum is unable to take on parenting responsibilities. Kim’s lawyer, however, believes that the motion filed by the former football player was “unwarranted.” According to Kroy, Kim was more worried about her image and jobs than what was best for their kids. In his eyes, that allegation constitutes neglect of their kids.
In March, Kroy filed for sole custody of the kids. Just like now, Kim denied his notion that she had been a poor parent.
