Lala Kent is speaking out about her alleged conflict with Jessica Walter. That speculation all started when Jessica abruptly walked away from her job as Lala’s assistant in 2024. At the time, reports indicated that Jessica felt underappreciated in both roles.
Now, Lala is opening up about the perceived falling out and how she feels about Jessica today. It was during Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules when reality fans were introduced to Jessica for the first time. Lala had been seeking a new assistant and eventually hired Jessica.
The Valley star misses her former assistant
From Lala’s perspective, there is no ill will towards Jessica. She discussed her on the May 27 episode of her podcast, Untraditionally Lala, when someone asked whether the two were still friends.
Lala noted that Jessica texted her over the weekend, sending a clip of the podcast they co-hosted. “What happened was that time did not align with everything. That’s called life,” said Lala about the situation.
Despite the alleged bad blood that some fans thought existed, Lala has nothing but good things to say about her former assistant. “I want the best for her, but I miss her so much,” said Lala.
Meanwhile, she revealed that Jessica offered to meet her sometime to get coffee and catch up if there was a good time and they were in the same place.
While Lala addressed her version of Jessica’s departure, audiences won’t be hearing the latter’s thoughts on her show. Lala says she has no intention of bringing her on the podcast to rehash that.
However, Jessica shared her side of the story in January 2025 on her Date My podcast. She said that she raised concerns about how something was being handled, but the response she got was “not good.”
Shocking news seems to be closely tied to Lala these days. The year after Jessica left, Lala teamed up with Ambyr Childers to do a podcast. Ambyr is the ex-wife of Lala’s former fiancé, Randall Emmett.
