Heather Dubrow has backtracked on her support for Spencer Pratt, who recently ran for Mayor of Los Angeles before being eliminated.
In a new interview, the Real Housewives of Orange County star said she had “got a lot of sh*t” for initially supporting the former reality TV star, and even branded him a “baby.”
It’s a seemingly huge change of opinion. Here’s what Heather had to say.
The RHOC star backtracked and called Spencer Pratt a “baby”
Speaking on the Between Us podcast that she co-hosts with her husband, Terry Dubrow, Heather acknowledged that their fans “had thoughts” about their previous support for Spencer.
Addressing that feedback, Heather said she now finds it “insane” that Spencer was “signed on to do a reality show” if he got elected.
“Prove to me that you love LA and that you want to be in that office to fix things,” she went on. “By saying you want to do a reality show … [shows] to me that you’re in this for you.”
Next, Heather commented on Spencer’s statement that he planned to leave LA if he didn’t win the election. “You’re such a baby,” she said to that.
In response, Terry – who is a renowned cosmetic surgeon who also stars on his own reality TV show, Botched – suggested that he would make a good mayor. Although knowing Terry, this was definitely a joke.
Jokes (or not) aside, there was a mixed response to the podcast clip in the comment section. “Happy to see this,” one person said, adding that they thought Spencer was a “joke” of a candidate.
“I disagree, he really wants to clean up LA. You people should be happy,” someone else commented.
“Heather, you’re incorrect on this one,” added another. “The reasoning for the reality show is so that people can watch him clean up the city. It would give transparency to the usual ‘behind closed doors’ decisions.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County is streaming on Peacock.
TELL US – DO YOU AGREE WITH HEATHER’S OPINION ON THIS? AND, DO YOU THINK SPENCER WOULD HAVE MADE A GOOD MAYOR?
