The Real Housewives of Orange County could soon be meeting its doom. That’s what former cast member Kelly Dodd thinks will happen to the long running series.
Kelly, who appeared on the show for five seasons, is going through her own legal drama, facing a series of misdemeanors including battery, in a revenge porn case. That hasn’t stopped her from throwing shade in response to a promotional photo for the upcoming season of RHOC.
The former Real Housewives of Orange County star called out Season 20’s “funeral” attire
RHOC Season 20 is just around the corner, and for Kelly, it feels like their last hurrah. On Instagram, she weighed in on the promotional photo. “Is this irony? I don’t know. Is this the demise?” What stood out to her was that the cast members were all dressed in black, making her believe maybe the upcoming season would be its swan song. “Is this the funeral?” For her, all of that leads to one thing: “This is the end.”
While Kelly doesn’t think the show will survive, she says it had a great run. She proceeded to take a shot at Heather Dubrow saying she can “go back to her sh*thole of LA.” Kelly and Heather had some notable confrontations during the former’s time on the show. That includes an argument at a sushi party in Season 11 when Heather took exception to Kelly’s behavior and discussions with other castmates. Kelly accused Heather of getting her booted from the show in the past. That’s something Heather denied.
Kelly assured everyone she had no jealousy towards her former castmates but simply found the promo ironic.
Last month, she was charged with allegedly distributing a photo of a “Jane Doe” having sex and masturbating without their consent. She’s denied the allegations. Last week, a law expert said proving “intent” is key for prosecutors in that case. The new season of RHOC kicks off on July 9.
