More controversy is hitting Love Island UK. One bombshell prematurely left the series, allegedly due to personal reasons. However, reports are now surfacing that this cast member was reportedly sent home by production for using offensive language.
George Knight claimed he left the Love Island villa for personal reasons

The Sun UK reported that George Knight was issued a warning about using “unacceptable language” in the villa. As a result, he was allegedly fired. However, that doesn’t mean that George’s claim of leaving due to personal reasons was false.
A spokesperson for ITV issued a statement about George’s exit. “For private reasons, George has left the Love Island Villa. We have a duty of care towards George so will not be commenting further,” the statement read.
According to an insider, “The situation for George hasn’t been easy, coming out of the villa earlier than expected and returning home to a very difficult family time.” In addition, George opened up about what caused him to leave the villa. “They said that my parents had been in touch and that they had some news for me and that they were going to give me a call,” George explained on The Sun’s Showbiz Fix podcast. “But it was a health concern with a member of the immediate family.”
Plus, he addressed claims that he exhibited microaggressions towards his fellow Islanders. “You see such a small percentage of all the conversations and the relationships that you build,” George stated. “I probably have said things that, in reflection, don’t look or sound great, but that’s just how I am in the moment.”
Unfortunately, this wasn’t the only recent Love Island controversy. A former contestant was arrested, again, for allegedly “perverting the course of justice.” The unidentified Love Island UK alum was originally arrested in November 2025 for several charges, including sexual assault.
Love Island UK airs daily on ITV2 at 9 pm (BST) and streams on ITVX.
