TW: This article contains discussion of sexual assault.
Recently, Janet Caperna dropped a bombshell during The Valley Season 3, sharing that she was a victim of sexual assault. Her friend, Lala Kent, comforted Janet, who had struggled to come to terms with the assault. Cue Kristen Doute, whose never-ending feud with Janet showed no sign of slowing down. Apparently, Kristen questioned the timing of Janet’s admission.
Kristen Doute found it “odd” that Janet Caperna’s history was “now coming out”

Janet once accused her co-star, Danny Booko, of sexual assault. He drunkenly touched Jasmine Goode inappropriately. Eventually, Janet recanted using that phrase. However, for Danny and his close friends, the damage was done.
During The Valley Season 3 Episode 16, Jesse Lally told Danny that he had spoken with Janet. In their conversation in Mexico, Jesse noted that Janet was “vulnerable” and mentioned a “past trauma.” Janet explained that when Danny closed the pantry door during Season 2, it was a trigger for her.
“When it comes to Janet and her trauma, I feel bad. I was unaware of any of that,” Danny admitted in his confessional. “But I think she’s projecting her own hurt onto me,”
Meanwhile, Jesse also spoke to Kristen about Janet. “And then I’ve said, it was probably the most vulnerable I’ve ever seen Janet, where she started talking about trauma, and when the door was closed in the pantry,” Jesse stated. “Like, why didn’t you say that all last year?”
For Kristen, Janet’s reveal seemed convenient. “I have not heard about any of this, and it’s just odd to me that this is now coming out,” she stated. “The timing of it all,” Jesse added.
It seems as if the friendship between Kristen and Janet is beyond repair. Plus, it’s unlikely that Janet will forgive Kristen for doubting her past trauma.
The Valley airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. Episodes will stream on Peacock.
