Thomas Markle Says Meghan ‘Doesn’t Give a Damn’ as UK Return Looms

Meghan Markle‘s father, Thomas Markle, reportedly called out his estranged daughter in an explosive statement as news of her relocation to the UK surfaced. Thomas has reportedly shared that he is “hurt” over the decision and complained that he may not be able to see his grandchildren. For those unversed, Meghan, Prince Harry, and their kids, Archie and Lilibet, will move back to the UK by the end of the month for an extended period of time.

Thomas Markle’s latest comments about Meghan Markle and their estrangement

The Daily Mail has reported that Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, is “hurt and upset” after finding out that the Sussexes are reportedly returning to the UK by the end of the month. The father and daughter share a rocky relationship. Moreover, he has never met Prince Harry or their children, Archie and Lilibet.

“I saw on CNN that they were returning to England. I found out about it at the same time as the rest of the world,” the 82-year-old told The Mail on Sunday. “I’m hurt and upset that she doesn’t give a damn about me, even though I’m in hospital. Meghan used to love me, she was always a daddy’s girl, and now it’s like I don’t exist. I have never met my grandchildren, and now they are leaving America.”

Thomas further shared that he hopes Harry and Meghan know that someday their children are going to question them about their maternal grandfather. He also sent a message to his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, stating that he is willing to meet them.

The Suits star reportedly reached out to her estranged father after learning about his leg amputation. Thomas underwent the amputation in December after developing a potentially scary blood clot while residing in the Philippines.

When the Sussexes relocated to California six years ago, Meghan’s father was hopeful they would spend time together. Thomas said, “While they were in the US, I always hoped they might come and see me. Now they are leaving, that hope has gone.” However, Thomas added that he will “never stop loving” his daughter, even though he “will never understand why she turned her back on” him.
