Jax Taylor has scored a temporary legal victory amid his increasingly contentious split from Brittany Cartwright. A judge partly granted Taylor’s request for a temporary restraining order against his estranged wife. However, the ruling does not settle their dispute. The court still wants a hearing before deciding some of the remaining issues between the former Vanderpump Rules couple.

According to Us Weekly, the judge partly granted and partly denied Taylor’s request on Sept. 1. His temporary restraining order against Brittany Cartwright expires Sept. 24. The court also scheduled a hearing for that same day. The judge said some of Taylor’s requests require a hearing before the court can make a full ruling.
Earlier, Taylor asked the court to order Cartwright to remain more than 100 yards away from him and his home. He also accused her of interfering with employment opportunities. Taylor detailed those allegations in his filing.
Meanwhile, Cartwright already has her own temporary protective order against Taylor. She previously accused him of domestic violence and other abusive behavior, allegations Taylor disputes. A judge granted Cartwright temporary protection in August.
The former couple also shares a 5-year-old son, Cruz Cauchi. Recently, their parenting disagreements intensified after Cartwright objected to Taylor bringing his girlfriend, Lori Krebs, around Cruz. Their reported messages revealed another dispute over Krebs and their son.
Taylor and Cartwright first found fame together on Vanderpump Rules, also known among fans as VPR or Pump Rules. Later, they joined The Valley while navigating marriage and parenthood.
Still, their conflict now stretches well beyond reality TV. For now, Taylor’s temporary order remains in place as both sides prepare for the Sept. 24 hearing.
