The drama continues for Robert Cosby Jr., the son of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby. His wife, Alexiana Smokoff, just filed for divorce, weeks after his arrest outside of her parents’ house. The divorce papers arrived as Robert faces criminal charges for violating an order of protection he put against him, and it’s just the latest in a series of unfortunate events.
Alexiana Smokoff’s filed divorce papers against husband Robert Cosby Jr. are currently sealed

RHOSLC fans will remember that in Season 4, Mary learned that Robert had secretly married Alexiana. Mary confronted him on camera, and he told her that they had gone to the courthouse in 2022. The news left Mary shocked — especially since they were both sitting up in her house, living rent-free.
As Robert opened up about his substance abuse problems, his relationship with Alexiana also seemingly took a turn. Back in September, Robert was arrested for trying to break into his in-laws’ home via a doggy door. Shortly after that incident, Alexiana took out an order of protection against Robert.
Earlier this month, Robert allegedly violated that order of protection and returned to his in-laws’ house. In the police report, the in-laws accused Robert of causing significant property damage to their home and one of their vehicles. They called 911, which led to a violent arrest, and Robert has been held in jail without bond ever since.
That brings us to November 24. According to a report from People, Alexiana went to the courthouse and filed for divorce from Robert. Although some details of the divorce remained sealed, the petition instructed them not to “harass, intimidate or disturb the peace of the other party, by any means, including electronically.”
The following day, Robert had a court hearing for the alleged property damage and violation of the protective order. At the hearing, his lawyer acknowledged the divorce and said that Robert was taking “responsibility for the mistakes he has made and the pain he has caused his ex-wife and her family.”
His lawyer said, “Robert was slow to recognize that his marriage was over. He continued to make contact with his ex-wife in an effort to reconcile. He now realizes that the relationship is over and he must move on.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is airing every Tuesday at 8/7c on Bravo, along with next-day streaming on Peacock.
