With The Real Housewives of New York on pause, the cast members are stuck doing whatever TV gigs they can get. The latest example of this phenomenon happened last night on Celebrity Name That Tune. Sonja Morgan graced the stage during the latest episode, and she was surprisingly good at it! Check out the clip below.
Sonja Morgan can “Name That Tune” in two notes
The RHONY alum took a break from terrorizing New York City restaurants to appear on Name That Tune. Sonja’s opponent was Christian Siriano, and she probably just gave him another reason to hate the Housewives.
In a viral clip from the Fox show, Sonja confidently said that she could name a tune in just two notes. Randy Jackson, sitting at the piano looking like a Chuck E. Cheese animatronic, played the two notes, and he could hardly believe what happened next.
“Lady in Red,” Sonja guessed without missing a beat.
She was correct, which meant she banked $5,000 for the charity of her choice, The Trevor Project. It was a triumphant moment for Sonja, but there were some naysayers in the TikTok comments, questioning if her two-note guess was legitimate.
“This has to be scripted because no one is guessing in two notes. Especially not Sonja. No shade,” wrote one shady fan.
Another added, “So stage[d] (sic).”
We’re not sure if it was staged or if this was another one of Sonja’s famous party tricks. Either way, we’re just appreciative of anytime we get to see our RHONY ladies on TV.
The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock, and you can see Sonja’s episode of Name That Tune on Hulu/Disney+.
TELL US – DID YOU SEE SONJA ON NAME THAT TUNE? DO YOU THINK THIS TWO-NOTE GUESS WAS STAGED, OR IS SONJA JUST THAT GOOD?
