Season 11 of Southern Charm is all about the drama. Naturally, that means that the season, so far, is focused on frenemies Craig Conover and Austen Kroll. While they seemed amicable at the end of Season 10, the duo was already feuding again in the new season. And Rodrigo Reyes has been there for all the red-hot fireworks.
Somehow, Austen triggered a newly-single Craig by sharing his FOMO about Craig’s new lifestyle. Why is that awful? Plus, Austen made a dig about Craig partying and downing alcohol again since his split from Summer House star Paige DeSorbo.
Rodrigo Reyes says Austen Kroll and Craig Conover “can’t quit” each other
During a recent episode of Southern Charm, Craig started a fight with Austen at Whitner Slagsvol’s party and roped in Shep Rose to share a rumor about Austen. The rumor? That Austen was talking to a girl in New York. It was beyond messy.
However, Rodrigo feels like Austen and Craig have a strong bond. Even Andy Cohen quipped that Austen was “obsessed” with Craig. And Rodrigo seems to agree. “I think they’re both obsessed with each other. I think that’s the problem,” Rodrigo told DECIDER. “It’s like that Spider-Man meme where they’re pointing at each other. The call is coming from inside the house.”
He continued, “You guys are both obsessed with each other, so it’s OK. I don’t think either will admit that freely. But, I mean, that’s what it is.” Rodrigo added, “They can’t quit each other. It’s like our own little Brokeback Mountain.”
For those who are unfamiliar with the movie, it focuses on the lives of two cowboys, Jack and Ennis, who form a sexual and emotional connection one summer. Tragically, Ennis later discovers from Jack’s wife that he allegedly died in a freak accident.
Hopefully, Craig and Austen will make amends again.
