Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is coming to an end, but is anyone tuning in? The penultimate episode aired on December 30, and it broke a disappointing record. It was the lowest-watched episode in the show’s history. Did everyone check out of Season 6 ahead of the finale?
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6 Episode 15 earned an all-time series low viewership ratings
According to Bravo Ratings, a live-ratings tracker unaffiliated with the network, RHOSLC Season 6 Episode 15 hit a series low in viewership, earning just over 300,000 live viewers. So, what happened?
It’s possible that viewers are just exhausted from watching the cast go after a fully checked-out Meredith Marks, but the holidays are most likely to blame for the ratings dip. Most Bravo shows took a two-week break for Christmas and New Year’s. RHOSLC was one of the few shows that took one week off from its weekly programming. Episode 15 landed right in the middle of the holidays.
Regardless of what’s to blame here, RHOSLC is in good company. They’re not the only show to recently hit a series low. Both Vanderpump Rules and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills hit all-time lows in viewership over the last few weeks, leaving fans wondering about the current state of the Bravoverse.
However, those low ratings shouldn’t be of too much concern. After news spread about RHOBH and VPR’s bad ratings, Andy Cohen went on his radio show to remind the world that live ratings aren’t the only metric they use to measure a show’s success.
Andy said, “We don’t look at live ratings. I haven’t looked at a live rating for anything on Bravo. You know what the live ratings are? Hashmarks. It’s delayed, it’s DVR, and it’s Peacock.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. You can stream it the next day on Peacock.
