It’s been one hell of a week for Jill Zarin. On Sunday night, she uploaded a video to Instagram deemed by many to be racist, bashing Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance for not being white enough. She spent the next 24 hours getting dragged. You know her notifications are probably still in shambles.
Things got worse for Jill on Tuesday, when E! announced that they had fired her from their just-announced Real Housewives of New York spinoff, The Golden Life. The next day, fans were celebrating the news that Dorinda Medley would be taking her place, and apparently, Jill isn’t taking any of this well. The word on the street is that she’s a “total mess.”
Jill Zarin found out freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences

After the news broke of Jill’s firing, she released a statement claiming that the network didn’t give her a chance after her online tirade. She thought that deleting the video would absolve her from the consequences, but that has not been the case. Even Zarin Fabrics wants nothing to do with her right now.
According to insiders who spoke with Radar Online, Jill hasn’t been doing well in the aftermath of her self-inflicted crisis. Instead of reflecting on how her words ruined her chance at a reality TV comeback, she’s allegedly painting herself as the victim.
“She’s angry she got fired,” a source said. “She doesn’t understand how she could get fired.”
The insider went on to say that she had “no remorse” for the video she posted. They described her behavior as “gaslighting,” and it sounds like she could be in denial about the role she played in all of this.
“She’s blaming the response to her comments instead of reflecting and taking accountability for them,” the source noted. “She’s not looking within and realizing she did something wrong.”
Fortunately, Jill’s calendar has recently freed up, so she has plenty of time to sit around and reflect on this experience. And perhaps other reality stars can take a lesson from this, too. You’ve got to think twice before opening your mouth on the internet.
The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
