Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance caused quite a stir. Most fans loved the celebration of the singer’s Puerto Rican heritage, while others lamented that the songs were in Spanish. Now, Bethenny Frankel has jumped back into the conversation.
Before the halftime show, Bethenny posted a TikTok, sounding off about entertainers using major events to promote “personal, cultural, political views.” However, after Bad Bunny wrapped his set, Bethenny deleted that TikTok and posted another, saluting his performance. Meanwhile, Bethenny’s former Real Housewives of New York co-star, Jill Zarin, posted a video to socail media, bashing the performance. It was later taken down.
Bethenny Frankel says the USA has “never been more” divided
Jill’s rant about the lack of white representation cost her a spot on the new E! series, The Golden Life. Plus, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Taylor Armstrong’s comments also landed her in hot water. Days later, she issued an apology.
Well, Bethenny shared her feelings in an Instagram video. “This is who I am. Unfollow or cancel me,” she wrote over the video. “Let’s say I say something wrong. You have two choices. You can educate me and say, ‘Hey. It’d be really nice’ … or, ‘I want you to understand this,’” Bethenny stated. “Or, you can say ‘F*ck you. You whore. You Tales from the Crypt.” She added, “You Skeletor. You racist. You C-*-N-T.’”
She continued, “But in my opinion, not even in my opinion, in fact, in the United States of America, we have never been more f*cking divided. So, why not try to talk to someone who says something wrong. Who has a different opinion than you.”
Bethenny added, “So, if I said something that f*cking bothers you, let me know in a constructive way so I can change. If you just want to put me in the goddamn ground, wait for it baby, because I’m not f*cking going anywhere, okay?” Once again, Bethenny commented on the division in the U.S. “This country is not red or blue. This country is red, white, and blue,” she stated.
Finally, Bethenny commented, “You’re not going to take me down. But I would prefer to have a conversation. You’re welcome.”
The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
