And just like that, the premiere season of The Valley: Persian Style has come to an end. Drama and romance throughout a season is all fine and dandy, but it’s the finale episodes that usually bring everything to a boil. Luckily for viewers, this finale was just that.
What Happened on The Valley: Persian Style Episode 9?

In last week’s episode, MJ’s open house was the catalyst event for drama. Tommy was late for an important pickup, Golnessa launched a rival jewelry brand, and Tanin and Sky still can’t get along. Will the finale bring this friend group back together? Here’s everything that happened on The Valley: Persian Style Episode 9, “Handle With (Skin) Care”.
Married life has its ups and downs

Today is the day that Tanin’s skincare brand releases. Sky hasn’t been by her side through its launch, but luckily Greg has stepped in with his full support. He even gifted her a custom made plaque celebrating her new business.
Tanin applauds Greg on his efforts to communicate more and grow from their previous riff. She even says that he can sleep in the same bedroom as her now, which is a big step in their marriage
Speaking of marriage, Reza is concerned about MJ’s relationship with Tommy and confronts her about it. He says that she’s been missing her signature glow and doesn’t appear to be as happy. Not to mention the fact that Tommy didn’t even show up to her open house event.
His comments hit a sore spot with MJ, and she tells him to leave it alone. She’s dealing with the marriage enough already and doesn’t want the pressure of anyone else’s opinion. After all, there’s a lot to consider. Their son Sham is the same age as she was when her parents got divorced.
Reza promises to not mention their marriage again, but predicts in his confessional that it won’t end well (welp, he wasn’t wrong).
Getting the emotions out in the open

Tommy’s a man of his word, and has actually agreed to attend couple’s therapy. The conversation starts off well, with discussion about how MJ is feeling in their relationship. That’s when it quickly goes left.
Tommy begins laughing, denying that he’s making her feel that way. The therapist calls him out, telling him that he needs to control his anger. Now that the conversation has fully shifted to him, he finally gets vulnerable about his emotions.
His mother died when he was 13 and with no father in the picture, he didn’t have a strong sense of family growing up. That’s why he wants to be a different example for their son and give him a loving household. Ultimately, the therapist recommends that he take trauma therapy to make sure he’s getting the individual healing that he needs.
Meanwhile, Amir drives Natasha to the cemetery where his late wife Lauren is buried. This is her first time ever going to visit her gravesite and she is nervous. They bring her flowers and Amir quickly breaks down in tears. Natasha is right there to comfort him, and is emotional herself. Amir shares in his confessional that he feels torn. On one hand, he doesn’t want Natasha to feel burdened with the emotions of grieving Lauren. On the other hand, he feels good to finally not have to go through the process by himself. Ultimately, he feels happy knowing that two of the most important women in his life have finally met each other.
A party of spills and thrills

The launch party is starting and Tanin and Greg have outdone themselves in party planning. The drinks are flowing, the outfits are stunning, and everyone is enjoying themselves. Que the chaos.
Sky and Bamshad stroll in late, but Tanin doesn’t seem to mind. In fact, she pulls her on-again, off-again friend over to clear the air. They have a heart to heart and Sky genuinely apologizes to her. Tanin accepts and they end up sharing a heartfelt hug. It seems like the dark cloud around their friendship has finally subsided.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group still absolutely hates Sky’s guts. Especially GG, and her idea of showing it takes a page right out of Julia Lemigova’s book.
She asks Reza if she should pour something on Sky on accident, and living for the drama, he says yes. Quickly, though, he comes to his senses and he and RJ both tell her not to. Too late, because she takes her drink and flings it on Sky from behind. Sky is fuming and threatens to call the police.
Tanin is mad at GG for making a mess of her launch event. But, she defends herself in her confessional, believing that gravity has nothing to do with her.
Regardless of this spill, the event was a success. The episode ended with a heartfelt montage of the squad getting back to their normal lives. Though, the end slate did reiterate that Tommy and MJ are divorcing.
The first season brought large numbers to Bravo. But, only time will tell if it gets renewed for a Season 2.
The Valley: Persian Style is available to stream on Peacock. New episodes air Thursdays at 9 PM/ET on Bravo.
