In case you missed it, NeNe Leakes was spotted kissing on a man at a basketball game this week. Real Housewives of Atlanta fans assumed that this was her boyfriend before quickly digging up his potentially problematic past.
As rumors continue to swirl about these two, NeNe is trying to take control of the narrative and downplay the whole thing. According to her, she was just having fun and trying to embrace her “soft girl era.” She claims that she’s not committed to this man.
NeNe Leakes might not have a new boyfriend after all
The man in question is Arthur Earl Horne III. He and NeNe were in Memphis, Tennessee, earlier this week and were snapped locking lips at a Grizzlies game. Unlike the AI photo circulating on social media of NeNe kissing Apollo Nida, this courtside kiss was very real.
Fans were excited to see NeNe back in the dating world, until online sleuths discovered he was once arrested for allegations of rape and assault. That’s not a good look, but NeNe recently took to an Instagram Live and clarified what’s actually happening between the two. The Neighborhood Talk shared a recording.
“I simply went on a date,” NeNe claimed during her Live. “I’m not in a relationship with anyone.”
NeNe explained that she is taking a different approach to dating by seeing multiple people at the same time. It sounds like Arthur is just one guy on her roster. She said men date like this all the time, so why can’t she?
Elswhere in the Live, NeNe also said that what we’re seeing online wasn’t necessarily a kiss. Instead, she’s categorizing it as a “peck.”
Either way, NeNe made it clear that she doesn’t know what the future holds for her and Arthur, and she felt like it was “messed up” the way RHOA fans dug up his background. After this debacle, she’s now considering staying more private about her dating life. We’ll see how that goes.
