Bryson Bryant has run afoul of the law again. The son of Real Housewives of Atlanta alum NeNe Leakes was recently arrested for violating his probation. Unfortunately, Bryson seems to be stuck in a spiral of legal problems.
Bryson Bryant’s latest legal issue and probation violation case
In 2023, Bryson was arrested for possession of fentanyl. At the time of his arrest, he gave police officer’s his brother, Brentt Leakes’, name. As a result, he was also charged with giving police a false identity,
In a plea deal, Bryson’s fentanyl possession charge was dropped. However, he was ordered to pay a $500 fine and was given 12 months of probation. In addition, Bryson was ordered to undergo random drug tests and perform 40 hours of community service.
According to TMZ, Bryson was arrested for failing to pay child support, failure to appear, and failure to fulfill the terms of his probation. He has been in jail since May 1, and his bond is set at $27,000.
Reportedly, Bryson did not complete any of the requirements of his probation. Court documents, which were filed on June 2, allegedly revealed that Bryson did not undergo substance abuse testing and failed to report for his probation. Plus, he did not pay his fine or perform any community service.
NeNe previously adopted a tough love approach with her son. Page Six reported that during a 2023 interview on the podcast Reality with the King, NeNe discussed Bryson’s substance abuse issues. “He has an addiction. He’s been struggling with it for years,” NeNe admitted. “He’s been in rehab for a couple of times and he still has come back out and relapsed.”
Hopefully, Bryson will be able to deal with his issues and move forward on a positive path.
