Between influencers and brands, skin care routines and social media go hand in hand these days. But when Bethenny Frankel took to Instagram to share her latest beauty buy with her followers this week, she sliced her face open on camera.
Bethenny was “freaking out” after the accident
Taking to Instagram on March 12, Bethenny showed off a new beauty tool that she purchased after seeing someone online “promoting it.”
Mid-video, however, the glass tool sliced her face open, leaving Bethenny’s face pouring with blood, which she dabbed with a paper towel.
“Oh my God, oh my God!” the Real Housewives of New York alum said to the camera, visibly in shock.
“These balls, they’re supposed to contour your face,” she said as she held up the tools. Bethenny went on to explain she purchased the items to “give some relief” as she grinds her teeth.
“I saw red in there, and I thought it was my skin,” the former reality star continued. As it turns out, the red was, in fact, her blood.
“This is so scary, I was going to go down my neck — I could have sliced my jugular, I’m freaking out!” she went on. By the end of the video, Bethenny had managed to stop the bleeding and applied disinfectant to her skin. But, she reminded fans to “not believe every person who promotes something [online].”
“I am fine. I’m just shook,” she reassured fans in the caption.
In the comments section, Bethenny’s followers were equally as concerned to see what had happened. “This is wild, you’re a real one for posting this. I def will NOT be ordering, I hope it heals up fast!” someone said. “This is absolutely terrifying!!!!” added another person.
