By now, you’ve probably seen that video of Bethenny Frankel accidentally slicing her face open with some weird beauty tool she bought online. It’s the worst thing to ever happen because now, we are never going to hear the end of it.
Since Bethenny is a full-time TikToker and beauty influencer these days, she tested out a glass contour tool from Nurse Jamie. It’s a tiny little suctioning device made of glass. Two come in a pack, and Bethenny thought it would help carve out the appearance of the face. Instead, it literally carved out a piece of her face, and now, she and Nurse Jamie are going back and forth on social media about it.
Bethenny has vowed not to sue Nurse Jamie
The Real Housewives of New York alum has launched a full-blown feud against Nurse Jamie, the creator of the controversial beauty product that allegedly cut her face open. Shout out to Housewives Hub for capturing all the TikToks and putting them into one post. Truly, it’s a blessing.
In the first video, Bethenny explained that she bought this $38 torture device after seeing an influencer post about it. The warning label on the box mentioned a risk for bruising, but when she allegedly saw blood getting sucked up into the glass tube, she knew something had gone horribly wrong.
After the incident, Bethenny expected to hear from Nurse Jamie with an explanation, or at the bare minimum, an apology. It didn’t happen, which Bethenny said seemed “deplorable” and “despicable.” Her fans suggested filing a lawsuit against the company.
In response, Nurse Jamie shared a video claiming that they did contact Bethenny. Multiple times! She also issued a refund on Bethenny’s order. However, Bethenny isn’t worried about that. She just wants an apology.
“I will not be suing anyone in the Nurse Jamie cupping incident for a multitude of reasons,” Bethenny explained in a follow-up video.
According to Bethenny, she’s chopping the incident up to just “human error.” She compared it to finding hair in your food at a restaurant and thinks mishaps are just a price of doing business.
Bethenny explained, “I did see that message in the comments, sort of very just direct. No apology, which is because people are afraid of litigious people. An apology admits guilt, so the messages were just kind of very straightforward.”
Bethenny said that Jamie’s response seemed “dispassionate” with a “lack of bedside manner.” She’s still waiting for that apology.
“Unfortunately, in life and in business and society now, people can’t just say sorry because they’re afraid that you’re going to sue them, and I, in fact, am not going to sue them,” Bethenny continued.
She added, “I do believe that no one should ever use that product.”
The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
