Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Sutton Stracke is opening up about her unexpected friendship with Erika Jayne. The two women did not end Season 14 on good terms, with Sutton accusing Erika of staging a “coordinated attack” on her in St. Lucia at the reunion. Fans assumed the rivalry would continue in Season 15, but surprisingly, the two are getting along better than ever.
In a recent interview, Sutton praised her castmate, calling their new bond “a big surprise.”
Sutton Stracke called Erika Jayne a “really good friend”
Sutton dished to Ok! magazine about Season 15 of RHOBH and her friend, Erika Jayne. She told the outlet that she discovered a new side of Erika this season.
“Erika and I did not end our reunion well,” she shared. “I wasn’t quite sure how this was going to go. I think we both treated each other with kid gloves and walked in gently to the friendship with one another. It has paid off. We really got to know each other well. We enjoy each other’s company and that’s been really fun.”
She continued, “She’s smart and she’s actually a really good friend. I’ve loved getting to know that side of her. It’s been really nice. So that was a big surprise for me, but also a really joyful one.”
Erika isn’t the only RHOBH star that Sutton is making amends with this season. The Southern Belle found herself at odds with longtime friend Jennifer Tilly in Season 15. The ongoing tension led to a major fight in Italy that fans worried would sink the friendship. During the confrontation, Jennifer called Sutton “fragile” and accused her of making everything about herself. Thankfully, the old friends were able to resolve their issues.
