Kim Zolciak Gives Her Side on Kroy Biermann Custody Battle

Kim Zolciak and Kroy Briermann are still navigating their contentious divorce. For now, though, the pair has signed a temporary custody agreement. Kim clarified some misunderstandings she’s seen circulating about their agreement.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum clarified that she had “not lost custody” of her minor children, Kroy Jr., Kash, and twins Kaia and Kane. She also said there hasn’t been any modification to the custody arrangement.

“I signed a temporary custody order at the end of January,” Kim explained. “The order clearly states that both the mother and father are to participate in two counseling sessions per month for two months, followed by one session per month thereafter. I was out of the country February 26 through March 28 due to contractual filming obligations on two separate productions.”

She added that she did not have days off to attend the counseling sessions.

Kim said that Kroy had the children for spring break, which is his designated parenting time under the existing agreement. She said the kids would return, and she would resume her parenting time.

“For the avoidance of any doubt, I have not lost custody of my children,” Kim reiterated. “I will absolutely not put up with the lies any longer.”

This statement came after TMZ said the four young children would stay with Kroy while Kim completed the mandatory parenting sessions. According to the court order, the earliest they can return to Kim is April 13.

As for Kroy, he is requesting sole custody over his ex-wife’s alleged “mismanagement of parenting responsibilities.” He is asking for an amendment to their agreement. Kim denies all of Kroy’s allegations about her parenting. She claims they are just his way of trying to defame her.

“I refuse to be bullied or have lies twisted into a narrative about who I am,” Kim said. “I will not stay silent. The truth is on my side.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns to Bravo on Sunday, April 5 at 8/7c. It streams on Peacock.
