PK Kemsley Wonders If Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Participated In Demise Of Marriage To Dorit

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, Paul “PK” Kemsley, is taking a look back at his separation from estranged wife Dorit Kemsley. He’s wondering if being on the show may have played a part in the demise of their relationship. He may never know with 100% certainty, but it’s a sure bet to say the public scrutiny probably didn’t help.

PK asks “Was I responsible for putting her in that world…”

PK spoke to Paul Carrick on his podcast, We Need to Talk, and reflected on the evolution of his marriage. He made it clear that he wasn’t placing direct blame on any one thing, but acknowledged that the impact of RHOBH is something he continues to think about.

“I’m not blaming my divorce on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” PK said. “But the truth is, the biggest question I have is  — is Dorit where she was always going to be, or was I responsible for putting her in that world? And that world created what happened now?”

It’s not an unreasonable thought. The spotlight challenges anyone, and constant scrutiny can break down even the strongest couples. Many Housewives have seen the demise of their marriages while doing the show. In RHOBH alone, Dorit and PK’s split happened not long after the separation of Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky, another of the show’s long-time couples.

Dorit and PK were married for almost a decade. They tied the knot in 2015. The pair announced their separation in 2024, with Dorit filing for divorce in April 2025. Since then, things have just gotten messy. Fans have seen the fallout on the latest season of RHOBH.

While PK ruminates on the role RHOBH played in his split, he did admit that his own ambitions factored into their joining the series in the first place. “I wanted money, I wanted status,” he said. “They cast for Housewives. I’d never seen the show. I didn’t know anything about it. But I believed I had the most beautiful, charismatic, ferociously ambitious wife. I wanted to show her off.”

The rest, as they say, is history.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the next day.
