RHOBH’s Denise Richards Makes Confession About ‘Humiliating and Painful’ Aaron Phypers Divorce

Denise Richards is finally saying something about the very public divorce drama with Aaron Phypers.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers got to know Aaron during Denise’s time on the show. Since Aaron filed for divorce last July, things between them have gotten increasingly ugly, with disagreements over money, legal fees, and court filings all playing out publicly.

After recent reports came out that a judge agreed to seal some documents tied to the case, Denise decided to weigh in herself.

On May 10, Denise responded in the comments section of a Reality Blurb Instagram post about the case. She also explained why she has been pushing for more privacy throughout the process.

“I would have preferred our divorce to be as private as possible,” she wrote. “This has been humiliating and painful to go through.”

Denise said she originally suggested using a private judge because it would have kept sensitive information out of the public eye, including “details surrounding the DV [domestic violence].”

“Most celebrities prefer it,” she added. “My ex wouldn’t do it unless I signed a one-sided NDA & I would have to pay him $250K per breach before he would consider it.”

She also claimed the request came “after he went on a defaming smear campaign” about her.

“Clearly, I didn’t sign it,” Denise continued. “Mostly because he would probably be the ‘source’ breaching the agreement.”

The actress also clarified that she had actually filed the documents months earlier before a February hearing where the judge ordered her to pay Aaron spousal support and attorney fees. Aaron previously claimed he had no income when he filed for divorce and requested financial support from Denise. He also alleged she was making around $250,000 a month through OnlyFans, TV roles, brand deals, and appearances.

At this point, the divorce is still ongoing.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills just wrapped up Season 15. Episodes stream on Peacock.
