The Real Housewives franchise won’t be expanding into the midwestern US anytime soon. There had been speculation that the popular program might be heading to St. Louis in the future. Andy Cohen though, seemed to put to bed that notion, saying that for now, that would be a “hard no.”
The Bravo Executive Producer and talk-show host believes for the moment that’s not something that would be good for the franchise. He admits that there may be a slight personal reason for that.
Andy Cohen explains why Bravo won’t expand Real Housewives to St. Louis
St. Louis isn’t on the radar of the Real Housewives franchise. In an interview with KMOV, Andy explained why that probably wasn’t going to happen.
“I can’t imagine how annoying it would be for my mom, dad, sister [and] everyone I know to be like, ‘Oh, so-and-so auditioned,” said Andy. Andy spent his childhood in St. Louis before relocating to New York City.
There is more than enough drama for Andy to deal with now. The Real Housewives has shows in various locales across the US, including Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Salt Lake City, Miami, and Dallas. He says that if another series were added in St. Louis, that drama “would be multiplied if it was in my hometown.”
For Andy, there is already enough on his plate, not just with his various shows but his personal life as well. The Watch What Happens Live host has two little children, welcoming a Ben via a surrogate in 2019.
The latest Real Housewives series to come out is The Real Housewives of Rhode Island. That show has gotten plenty of backlash, much of it centered around Rosie DiMare.
She defended herself on WWHL this week after calling Kelsey Swanson a “slam pig. That’s a New England term for someone you don’t like. Rosie says Kelsey fits the description to a T.
