Lisa Rinna is not a fan of reality TV stars dabbling in politics, so now that Spencer Pratt is running for Mayor of Los Angeles, California, you better believe she is gonna talk about that. Mauricio Umansky, however, disagrees with her recent comments, since, as a reality star himself, Mauricio has also considered “running for mayor.” And unlike Lisa, this Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is impressed with Spencer’s campaign so far.
The RHOBH star might soon be endorsing Spencer Pratt for LA mayor
Several days ago, Lisa admitted that she loved Spencer. Even still, she is not voting for him in the upcoming mayoral election. As Lisa explained, “We’ve already done that, we’re not going to do that again.” Instead, “Let’s have somebody that’s already been mayor, the mayor of San Jose, or whoever,” Lisa said.
While appearing on Tomi Lahren‘s radio show, Tomi Lahren is Fearless, Mauricio recalled Lisa’s statements. “She’s like, ‘I’m not 100 percent sure, let’s have somebody that’s already been mayor, but I don’t want a reality star.’ So she’s really not willing to endorse [Karen Bass]. She’s not willing to say her name, but she’s happy to say ‘not a reality star,'” he reiterated.
Then, Mauricio confessed his own political aspirations. “Let me tell you something: I’m a reality star, and I’ve thought many times about running for mayor. I actually think I could help the city and do some stuff. So, you know, don’t be surprised if I come at this thing in a few years, on the next election,” he said.
Until that day arrives, however, Mauricio is keeping a close eye on Spencer. In his opinion, this reality star is running a great campaign, aided by his honesty in admitting that he doesn’t have all the answers. As Mauricio stressed, as long as Spencer surrounds himself with fully informed people, he could become a successful mayor.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is available to stream on Peacock.
