Welcome back to your In The City recap!

In last week’s episode, things went from bad to worse for Amanda and Kyle’s marriage as she made plans to move out of their shared apartment. That wasn’t the only relationship being tested, however. Kenny found his new romance with Whitney under the spotlight (again!). Meanwhile, Lindsay was questioned about her fallout with former BFF, Danielle. So, what happened next?

Here’s exactly what went down in In The City Episode 3: “Mimosas and Mayhem.”

In Episode 3 – titled: “Mimosas and Mayhem” – the breakdown of Amanda and Kyle’s marriage continued to play out. Speaking of which, as part of their trial separation, Amanda leased a new apartment, which she invited Summer House stars Ciara and West to visit with her. Elsewhere in the world of Summer House alumni, Danielle and Lindsay tried to squash their beef. Here’s how it all went down…

In the opening scene of Episode 3, Amanda met with her Summer House co-stars, Ciara and West, at the site of her new apartment. She rented the apartment as part of her trial separation from Kyle, which was initiated in last week’s episode.

“We’re not legally separated,” Amanda explained to the pair about her and Kyle’s marriage. West then asked her what she was hoping to “get out” of their living apart. To that, Amanda said she and Kyle were “too complacent” in their marriage. Nonetheless, she again argued that the pair were “not single” or “dating other people” during this time. “The point of this is for us to get back to being us,” she clarified.

In a confessional, Amanda then commented on her hangout with Ciara and West. “West and I became really good friends this summer; he was there for me through all of the Kyle stuff,” she said. “Recently, Ciara and West have become best friends again, too, so I have the perfect little trio.” Famous last words.

Reminder: In The City was filmed in the fall of 2025, months before Scamanda came to light. Amanda and Kyle officially announced their separation in February of this year, and a month later, Amanda and West confirmed their romance … the timeline of which is still under suspicion.

In a flash-forward confessional filmed on May 5 of this year (stick with me here!), the producers asked Amanda about her shock romance with West … especially given she’d just called Ciara her “bestie” in the previous scene when the three of them met up.

“How did you feel about him when you filmed this scene?” the producer said. “Was there any inkling of a crush there?”

“No, this was my friend,” Amanda adamantly replied of West. “I know what people are going to think when they watch this scene. It’s bizarre, but in this moment, these are my friends, these are two very important people to me.” Whatever you say, Mandy.

Lindsay went on a date

After meeting Frank (AKA the milkman) in last week’s episode, Lindsay caught up with him for a one-on-one date.

“This is only my second date since my break-up,” Lindsay explained in a confessional, as a time stamp reminded viewers she split with her baby daddy eight months prior. “Luckily, Frank appeared out of nowhere,” she went on, before clarifying that she’s “not looking for a soul mate, at all.”

“I just want to laugh, drink, have fun … and then kiki at home,” Lindsay added of her intentions. “If my fanny is fluttering and I have the tingles down there, that’s what I’m looking for.”

As for Frank’s, err, ability to get the flutters going? “The banter is not there, but I think Frank is so f*cking hot. He just feels like a man,” she said.

Lindsay and Danielle faced off

Following a frosty few months, which included claims of Uber ride hand jobs and shady baby daddy jabs, former friends Lindsay and Danielle met for lunch to try to mend things.

After accusing Danielle of “shattering” very significant moments of her life, Lindsay said her intention for the lunch was to tell her ex-BFF why she “doesn’t give a sh*t anymore.” Meanwhile, Danielle seemed hopeful that her and Lindsay’s shared history would be enough to save the friendship. Mimosas at the ready…

Ultimately, Danielle apologized for hurting Lindsay’s feelings through the things she had said, which Lindsay accepted and “appreciated.” Perhaps this could be a sign of things to come, as the pair ended the lunch by agreeing to take “baby steps” in their friendship moving forward.

At a brunch just afterwards (more on that in a second), the pair were quizzed about their “status” by the group, who were surprised to see them arrive together. “We’re seeing where it goes,” Lindsay replied, while Yvonne likened Danielle to a cat with “nine lives” when it comes to that friendship.

Just moments after meeting for brunch with the rest of the cast, Danielle found herself in the hot seat again. Kyle asked her if she would be offering Amanda an apology, like she did for Lindsay. What for? Queue: a montage of Amanda versus Danielle moments from several seasons of Summer House (and unseen In The City footage).

“Amanda and I have so much history,” Danielle clarified in a confessional. But there’s never any beef between Amanda and me. It’s always someone else’s issue, and she’s happy to get on the ‘Danielle bashing train’.”

As Amanda and Danielle hashed that out, Kenny pivoted the conversation back to Lindsay and how her relationships impact others. Queue: another montage, this time of Lindsay and her “minions.”

“I’m not recruiting people,” Lindsay said to Kenny in response to the label. “They’re not minions, they’re friends.” To that, Kenny described Lindsay as having a “mean girl crew” and then went so far as to ask her: “Are you on glue?”

As Lindsay and Kenny clashed over whether she runs a “mean girl crew,” talk turned to whether Whitney has been able to crack said crew since moving to New York. “I’m not used to this kind of cattiness, and if I don’t want to be one of Lindsay’s minions, am I going to fit in with the girls?” she confessed.

Kenny then suggested in a confessional that at some point the “minions would revolt,” while back at brunch, Amanda led a chant of “opinions not minions.”

But perhaps Lindsay should have been the least of Whitney’s concerns. Later in the episode, she met up with Lexi and Georgina for coffee and learned that Kenny is “unsure if there’s a spark” between them. No spark? Didn’t she, like, just move across the country to be with him? OK, Kenny.

“That’s hard to believe,” Whitney said, rightfully in shock at the revelation. Recalling a previous relationship during a confessional, Whitney explained the situation was “triggering” and left her feeling like she’s “not enough.” Poor Whitney!

In the final scenes of Episode 3, Amanda revealed to Kyle that she had finally found an apartment for herself. The only catch? It’s a year-long lease.

Given that the pair had discussed a trial separation – as in temporary, not forever, not for a whole year – Kyle was understandably taken aback. “I’m trying to keep an open mind, but this to me feels much more definitive,” he said of the news. “It no longer feels temporary. It feels permanent.” Kyle, mate, you have no idea what’s coming…

In The City continues on Tuesdays at 9 PM ET/PT on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
