Sometimes, you need a reset, and Venita Aspen knows that better than most. After a bumpy Season 11 of Southern Charm, the model and influencer did exactly what any smart girl does when she needs to regroup: she left the country and came back with a refreshed perspective.
Now, she’s channeling that energy into a full wellness reset, and she’s got a surprisingly chic secret weapon to go along with it.
We sat down with Venita to talk about life after Season 11, her new partnership with Benefiber, and why gut health is the wellness trend that you should probably be paying attention to right now.
Venita is using Benefiber in her summer wellness routine

We spoke with Venita right after she wrapped an Amazon Live presentation with Big Brother alum Natalie Negrotti. The pair discussed easy ways to incorporate fiber into your routine, and Venita felt shocked by one statistic in particular. Did you know 9 out of 10 people don’t get enough fiber in their diets? That means pretty much everyone reading this right now could use a little help.
Historically, fiber was something we associated with an older generation. Your mind immediately goes to prune juice, bran cereal, and a bunch of boring stuff like that. However, Venita told us that we’re in a new era thanks to Benefiber.
“This is not our grandparents’ fiber,” she told us with a laugh. “This is chic, this is for the girls.”
She’s not wrong. Benefiber’s plant-based, prebiotic fiber supplements are designed to meet you wherever you are. They’ve got powders, gummies, on-the-go sticks, and literally everything you need to make gut health a part of your summer wellness routine. Venita told us exactly how she’s incorporating it into her daily life.
Venita explained, “Okay, so I wake up early, I take my fiber gummy first, and then the on-the-go sticks are my favorite,’
“I put it in my water bottle when I’m working out,” she continued. “You have to drink water when you’re working out anyway, so it’s like — of course I’m going to put what I need in my water bottle, because I’m grabbing it every three seconds because I’m sweating to death. That’s really how I’ve incorporated it daily.”
The word on the street is that you can even bake with Benefiber, and Venita is eager to put that to the test. She holds a culinary arts degree, so she’s already brainstorming how to incorporate this into a cookie. We’ll be eagerly awaiting that recipe.
Venita left the country after an explosive season of Southern Charm

Of course, wellness isn’t just about what you’re eating. For Venita, this summer reset also meant taking care of herself mentally after a difficult season of Southern Charm.
In Season 11, we watched Venita clash with longtime cast member Craig Conover. On top of that, she also experienced a falling out with her onscreen pal, Salley Carson. It was a lot, and once filming wrapped and the season finally aired, she needed a change of pace.
Venita shared, “I went to Europe. I put myself on a completely different time zone than everyone else, and I really just took time to regroup with myself.”
She continued, “I put everything I needed to put out on the table, and then I had to relive it. But I knew that I put everything out that I needed to go out, and I just needed to let it be what it was going to be, and take time to reset and regroup, and be on a different time zone. Just doing that was very, very helpful.”
Reliving the drama wasn’t easy for Venita, and online trolls made it even worse. With that in mind, she felt super thankful for the public support she received from Summer House star Ciara Miller. As the drama unfolded on-screen, Ciara took to social media to encourage viewers to empathize with Venita, who is the only Black cast member on Southern Charm.
Venita shared, “When she spoke out on socials for me, and that was something I didn’t ask her to do, like, we hadn’t talked about it at all at that point, and I was just like, ‘Oh, yes, I have a safe space.’”
That support system now extends beyond Ciara. After our interview, Venita revealed she was meeting up with Mia Calabrese for a private viewing party for Part 3 of the Summer House Season 10 reunion. Naturally, we’re now manifesting a Venita cameo next season.
Is Venita returning to Southern Charm Season 12?

Meanwhile, Southern Charm fans are still waiting for official news about Season 12’s cast. Bravo has greenlit the show for another season, but there’s no word on who’s in and who’s out.
Of course, Venita couldn’t spill that tea with us during our chat, but she did make one thing very clear. If she comes back, we’re going to see a more unapologetic version of her. If anything, Season 11 might have galvanized her.
“I think I will back down less, even if I feel like I might get the trope of, like, oh, you’re the angry Black girl, or you’re this, and you’re that,” Venita said.
She continued, “You’re going to say it anyway. So let me just stand in what I believe in that moment, and just walk in that, and not be afraid of what other people are going to say when I choose to react to what’s happening in front of me.”
Southern Charm is streaming on Peacock.
