Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Could Have Several UK Bases To Choose From — Report

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could reportedly be weighing several options for a UK base. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020 and later relocated to California. However, speculation over the couple permanently moving to the UK has intensified in the wake of their recent trip.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly have these major home options amid reported UK return

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have already found a discreet new UK base for their comeback. The Sussexes are due back at the end of the month for “an extended period of time.” The Sussex children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will reportedly start school in Britain as their parents secure a new residence in the UK, as per The Sun.

The decision follows six years after they distanced themselves from the UK and the monarchy. King Charles reportedly received word on Sunday that his youngest son and daughter-in-law are heading back to Britain.

Even with their UK return, Harry and Markle plan to hold on to their £11 million Montecito estate in California, as well as their retreat in Portugal. The location of their new UK home remains undisclosed, though several areas are said to be under consideration.

The Cotswolds could be a strong contender for the Duchess, with Soho Farmhouse right on the doorstep. She has long been friends with Markus Anderson, frequently called the “King of Soho House.” Popular with American celebrities looking to live away from the spotlight, the Cotswolds is also conveniently located near the King’s Highgrove Estate.

Royals, however, often opt for the quiet of Windsor. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor called Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park home for about 22 years before being moved on to the Sandringham Estate following his fall from grace.

Prince William and Princess Catherine have also made Forest Lodge their “forever home” just down the road. However, with tensions still running high between the Waleses and the Sussexes, the chances of them settling so close to each other look slim.
