Kyle Richards’ daughter Sophia Umansky revealed her hair loss after taking weight loss drugs
“I am very lucky that I have so much hair,” Sophia shared. “Because at the rate that I’ve been losing hair, I’m gonna be bald in about a week!”
She shared that she started taking Mounjaro for weight loss about four months ago and noticed that in the past month, she began to experience dramatic hair loss.
Though her hair looked shiny and healthy in the clip, she admitted that it was falling out in clumps in the shower, when she combs her hair, and just when she runs her hands through her hair in general.
The former Buying Beverly Hills star then showed clumps of her hair around the drain and in the shower and said it was a lot worse than even the video clips show.
“You’re not even seeing the half of it,” she said.
Sophia shared she thinks the hair loss is a direct result of the medication and not getting enough vitamins and protein. She has since made an effort to do that to remedy the situation, as well as peptides.
Fans had mixed opinions in the comments. Some lauded her honesty, others gave her hair loss tips like having her thyroid checked, and others wondered why she was on a weight loss medication at all.
Sophia is currently still at home with Kyle. While things are still up in the air for her parents, she seems to be handling the tough times well. She’s focusing more on her health and combating her sudden hair loss.
