Luke Broderick popped the question to Kristen Doute in September 2024. The sweet moment was captured for Season 2 of The Valley. But fans of the couple shouldn’t expect to see their wedding anytime soon. The reality TV star couple have decided to put wedding planning in hiatus.
Two months after announcing their engagement, the Vanderpump Rules alum announced that she was pregnant with the couple’s first child. It was very happy news, as the couple shared their prior struggles to conceive on The Valley. Kristen wanted to put all her focus and energy on maintaining a healthy pregnancy. And now, the Bravolebrity couple are choosing to pause any wedding plans to focus on parenthood.

The couple exclusively told Bravo’s The Daily Dish that they have “zero wedding plans” in the works.
“We’ll probably start talking about that next year. It could happen next year,” Kristen shared. “I don’t know. I don’t want to wait too long, but I think we need to settle into being parents and this whole chapter of our lives and really know what we’re doing before we try to plan anything else.”
Luke chimed in to say that the couple’s first child, a girl, comes “first” over any wedding celebration. The couple are expected to welcome their little one on June 17, 2025.
He added, “We’ll see how long it takes to really get a handle on it to where we can start planning a wedding, but yeah, I try not to get too far ahead of myself.”
Kristen will be the one to decide when to revisit the topic. Luke is also happy to let his fiancée be the primary decision maker.
“I planned this engagement and I put a lot of effort into it, so now as I’m passing the torch, I said, ‘Let me know when you want me to pick between this and that, and I’m here for you,'” he explained.
