Erika Jayne has me on a rollercoaster of a ride after hearing the news that she and Jesse Solomon hooked up after a night in the Big Apple. The Pretty Mess singer has always been sex positive; most of the time, I commend her for her outspokenness. And while I’m sure Jesse was a good time, I can’t help but feel that Erika could have done a bit better for herself. If you had asked me last year, I would have said that the Summer House star was awesome, but after Season 9, he left many fans with the ick.
Jesse Solomon has had a questionable season on Summer House
It became apparent that Jesse wanted to be the number one guy in the Summer House this year. While he didn’t have a lot to contend with, especially after Carl Radke shared his bankruptcy backup plan for the Soft Bar, Jesse still somehow couldn’t come out smelling like roses. Instead, he jumped headfirst into what fans now think might have been a faux relationship with Lexi Wood. From day one, the duo moved too fast and seemed mismatched.
Jesse’s constant flirting took center stage as he found himself getting a two sucked during one of Imrul Hassan’s many threesomes. And his ability to withhold truths painted him out to be a liar. But the final straw for fans was when he tried to blame his relationship troubles on Ciara Miller. The two had been close friends for over a year, but when he started to get heat from Lexi, the aspiring singer chose to blame the nurse for her flirty ways. In reality, Jesse was the one who had been flirting all summer. It was hard to find a redeeming quality in Jesse, especially after he was accused by his ex of just wanting more screen time.
RHOBH’s Erika Jayne is up to her knees in legal issues
Even though Erika had a really good Season 14 when it came to her time on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, her personal life is still a bit of a struggle. Viewers were happy to see her glow up when it came to her redecorated home, but Erika still has a lot on her mind. She is currently embroiled in multiple lawsuits, and the end game doesn’t look positive for the singer. Just last week, lawyer Ronald Richards shared that the reality star could be looking at a jury trial. Tom Girardi’s trustee, Elissa Miller, filed a $25 million lawsuit in July 2021.
The trustee has accused EJ and her business, EJ Global, of using the funds meant for former clients. The lawyer noted that Erika had alleged that it was the LLC that owed the money. Erika is also being sued by her former costume designers. Erika allegedly accused Marco Morante and his partner, Christopher Psaila, of illegally overcharging her American Express. The duo countered and accused her of conspiracy. Marco is suing her in Florida, while Christopher has filed in California.
The idea of a fling between Jesse Solomon and Erika Jayne after WWHL doesn’t add up
I keep asking myself, “What would Jesse Solomon do if he met Erika?” Evidently, the answer is to hook up with her. After watching the season finale, it is clear that Jesse is in his single boy era. A source close to the situation spoke with Us Weekly and spilled some piping hot tea. An insider shared that “After their Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen appearance, they ended up hanging out afterward. They were seen flirting and getting cuddly while out at a bar in New York City a few weeks ago.” According to the source, the Summer House star put all his eggs in one basket. “Jesse was very straightforward with her, and Erika was into it. It was playful, and they were just having fun.”
With a 22-year age gap, the spicy hookup feels a bit odd. However, for Erika, the age difference could be quite normal. I find it hard to imagine they have a lot in common. And I assume there wasn’t a lot of chit chat. I don’t get Jesse’s appeal. But Erika clearly saw an opportunity to sow her wild oats. Could it be that Jesse is the new Harry Dubin? Honestly, I don’t know if I’m prepared for that.
