Below Deck Med’s Captain Sandy Reacts to First Charter’s ‘Massive Tip’

Captain Sandy Yawn just handed the crew of Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 their first tip. It was a massive one, clocking in at 30,000 Euros strong. When she presented this amount within the chonky envelope during their initial tip meeting, her crew cheered. And now, Captain Sandy is weighing in on this first solid win for Season 10.

When the first round of charter guests departed in Episode 2, they raved about their crew. This trip was possibly their best one yet, they revealed. Then, they handed Captain Sandy a heavy envelope that proved how much they meant their words.

When Captain Sandy then appeared on Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen asked her about this massive tip. Smiling, Captain Sandy revealed that this amount found her well, yet shocked.

“Shocked. I mean, we’re learning [during this charter] every aspect of the boat, and every area, and [even still, these guests] left us a nice tip. And I think it’s because they see how hard we try, and the crew tried really hard,” Captain Sandy said.

Well, everyone minus a few “clueless” yachties, she clarified. But she does have to say something about Max Salavdor. “He tries, and he does a good job. I really like Max. He’s a great guy,” Captain Sandy raved.

As Andy noted, Captain Sandy loves it when yachties give their all to their jobs. And Max did this, because Max “jumped right in. He’s a very different person” this season, she explained, comparing Max to his Season 8 antics, which almost sank his time on this series.

Below Deck Mediterranean airs on Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.
