The split between Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan Edmonds and former MLB star Jim Edmonds is moving along at a rapid speed. He already has a new house, which he showcased on social media.
Wow. That was quick. Did he just manage to find the perfect house on short notice? Or was he planning to split from Meghan long before he filed for divorce? I don’t actually have an answer to those questions, but we were all thinking it, right? This is just pretty quick for a bounce back.
Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan Edmonds has been very vocal this year regarding problems in her marriage. Back in June, it was revealed that her hubby Jim Edmonds had been sexting a woman who was not his lovely bride. Meghan gave periodic updates on the status of her marriage after the scandal and the couple seemed to be working through things. Of course, all that changed for the Edmonds in late October, when Meghan alleged that Jim had been having an inappropriate relationship with one of the family nannies.
Since then, the media has been full of details of the split between Meghan and Jim. He has veered from angry to conciliatory in statements about his marriage. Meghan blogged about Jim’s alleged inappropriate behavior, claiming he was “drinking and partying with much younger women.” Jim’s ex-wife number two, Allison Jayne Raski, called his marriage to Meghan a “nightmare” her family had to “endure.” His daughter Hayley Edmonds said she had been “waiting” for the divorce. Oh, the drama! Now, two Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ladies who know a thing or two about drama themselves have chimed in with their opinions on this depressing mess.
Although I have not completed an official statistical analysis, the Real Housewives of Orange County seems to have one of the highest divorce rates among Housewife shows. Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador and Gina Kirschenheiter vie for a three-way tie for the messiest OC divorces. Surely a feat that is worthy of some kind of award. Sorry Vicki Gunvalson, your divorce from Donn Gunvalson should have been dirtier. No orange, no divorce crown!
Meghan Edmonds has sadly been added to the list of OC Housewives who have split with their husbands since being on the show. Following a sexting scandal in June in which hubbby Jim Edmonds was caught with his red hot hands on the keyboard, the couple seemed to be working on their marriage. To make matters worse, one of their twin sons was recently diagnosed with a neurological condition. Last week, of course, all hell broke loose at Casa Edmonds and Jim has reportedly filed for divorce, with allegations by Meghan of Jim’s inappropriate relationship with the family nanny swirling about. Now, the nanny is speaking out.
About 10 minutes after the last bit of info regarding Jim and Meghan Edmonds’ marriage came out, another statement has been made. I know news travels fast and all that jazz, but this is nuts. Last Friday the world learned Meghan’s unfaithful husband filed for divorce. Apparently, Jim was over having his moves watched and his phone tapped. Horrible mudslinging is happening and once again, the former Real Housewives of Orange County stars are speaking their truth, or at least Jim is.
Let’s be clear, there have been many “statements” regarding Meghan and Jim’s blowout in a short period. This isn’t something new for the couple, it just happened to explode in the public eye. Accused of cheating with a nanny and guilty of sexting with a previous hook-up, Jim has denied any funny business with the staff and publicly lashed out at Meghan. Even Jim’s family got involved. His ex-wife had something to say, and Jim’s daughter spoke out as well. Emotions have been running high and the family is suffering as a whole. Now Jim has stepped in with some words written for him of peace and privacy going forward.
To put it bluntly, the shit has really hit the fan for Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan Edmonds. To say her life has imploded is putting it mildly. Not only is she a mom of three, Meghan’s son is undergoing intensive therapy for irreversible brain damage. And then there’s the husband.
Jim Edmonds is known for baseball, not being faithful. Despite his poor track record in the game of love, Meghan married him anyway. Naturally, Jim’s children from a previous marriage became Meghan’s stepkids. Viewers saw Meghan struggle in her new maternal role when Hayley Edmonds stayed with the couple in RHOC’s 10th season. At the time, Hayley was 16 and dealing with her mother’s terminal illness. Hayley never seemed particularly fond of Meghan, even though she tried desperately to take over be a HashtagCoolStepmom. Now that Meghan is being canceled from the Edmonds clan, Hayley speaks out. Boy does she ever!
Now that Meghan Edmonds and Jim Edmonds are finally officially done, family members are speaking out. Jim’s ex-wife Allison Jayne Raski has some fighting words for MKE.
Meghan accused Jim of cheating on her with the family’s nanny Carly Wilson. Most people believed that accusation following Jim’s sexting scandal. However, Jim has clapped back and denied the allegations and he even said that he has thought of Carly as one of his children. Now, Allison has a lot to say. Clearly, she’s not a fan of Meghan’s. At all.
