My DVR caught the tail end of Teen Mom 2 and the highlights of what’s to come with their new season. So many questions, so many train wrecks. Leah hooked up with Jeremy? Remember Jeremy? He was her second husband who she seemed to marry after a month and get a divorce from like two weeks later. Here’s a novel idea, how about you slow down and figure out if you truly want to be married to that person and should you marry that person you give it some actual time before rushing to file for divorce! Not to be outdone, it seems one, Ms. Jenelle Evans Rogers Evans Eason, will be getting a visit from the cops regarding the welfare of her children. You know what? If the cops show up to my house asking if my child is OK I’m going to let them in and say heck yes, would you like to see just how OK? People who take care of their children don’t need to be defensive. Just in case you think the crazy is saved for the girls, Javi was thinking about proposing to Brianna? Javi, did you learn nothing from rushing into marriage with the last Teen Mom you were with? Does it not seem concerning the new Teen Mom just gave birth to her second baby with a second baby daddy and that you’ve been dating for five minutes? And then we get Chelsea crying over Adam’s mom being mean. I truly think MTV is completely irresponsible for having Janelle still on the show and I think about quitting but a trailer like this sure makes it difficult. I’m a sucker for a show that leaves me yelling and shaking my head at the tv. With that, I guess we better get on to the new business that keeps us yelling and shaking our heads: Teen Mom Young and Pregnant!
Last week I was off having fun (the kind that doesn’t include TV). I did watch last episode of Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant and we got our fifth and final baby: Izaiah (these girls really like to use a lot of vowels when naming their kids). Brianna and Danae had (another) fight and Danae is no longer welcome at her mom’s house. We got to talk about two engagements and one actually happened. And Kyler got a job. This week we are back to having the kind of fun that does include watching TV (and plenty of head shaking and eye rolling) so let’s dive back in!
On television, most reality TV stars are focused on the drama, which makes perfect sense it’s a job, but in real life most of your favorite reality TV stars are all about the family time. Or at least that’s what they’re sharing on Instagram these days.
Former New Jersey Housewife Caroline Manzo spent quality time with her granddaughter Marchesa- a photo that she decided to caption with some Kanye West lyrics, which is very unexpected to say the least. Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and her two kids had a dance party with Mickey Mouse.
This episode of Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant is titled the Co-Parent Trap. I find this title clever. Or I did, until I wondered if these kids were old enough to even get the movie reference and looked up the dates. The Lindsay Lohan remake of The Parent Trap was made in 1998! It’s 20 years old, the same age as the oldest two girls and OLDER than the other three. So now I feel ancient. That said, the 1998 remake was a decent movie. And the 1961 original is worth the watch as well. I also didn’t know that the original movie was based off of a book, but that makes sense for Disney. Anyway, I guess we should jump in and see what’s going on with our young moms and dads.
It’s a new week on Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant. Can we offer these kids lessons in Parenting 101? Let’s do it anyway.
- Help your baby momma come up with a name for your child. And smile while you do it!
- Put up some kind of bed for your child because it’s a terrible idea to have them sleep between you with pillows!
- Maternity photos don’t need to be taken on national television in a bra and underwear.
- Discuss marriage and life goals so you are on the same page, communication is key for a positive relationship.
- Don’t quit your job! You need money to provide for a baby.
- Now let’s dive in to the latest episode of Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant and come up with 20 more!
We get our first baby of the season and here’s hoping that all the daddies can be as attentive and nurturing as Sean’s first night home with Jade Cline and baby Kloie! If not, we have to hope that hard hitting relative like Aunt Vania will come in and set them straight! Let’s dive in to the latest episode of Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant!
Please say ‘no’. It was a bit of a struggle to come up with a quote of the week on Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant. So I am going to reluctantly award it to Kyler again (he and Ashley are really stepping it up) with his “Please say no” comment when discussing homecoming. I feel this is generally appropriate since they all should have said ‘no’ without proper birth control.
Like flies caught in spider webs, these kids have sealed their futures together and they are sticky. Don’t get me wrong, we are sure to catch some epic breakups in the Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant episodes to come, but raising babies is going to make these kids deal with each other for 18-years+ for the sake of their kids.
