This week’s episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey gave us very little of Melissa Gorga. Now before you all let out a huge “Thank you, Jesus,” let me ask, would you really rather hear about Rino Aprea‘s finger-lickin’ good prostate exam? Or see Rino’s little toucan come out to play? Call me crazy, but I’d rather look at Joe and Melissa’s plans for Chateau Sheree 2.0 until I’m cross eyed than see that again.
Still, Melissa took to her blog to share her thoughts on the episode, starting with the 9,000-square-foot home Joe Gorga plans to build. “A Joe Gorga house is impeccable,” Joe said on RHONJ. “When you open up those history books and you look in Rome, that’s what I build. I just have that gift. I’m the Michelangelo of New Jersey of building homes.” History books? I think he meant Beaver Habitats For Dummies.

“Joe cracks me up when he talks about building houses. The fact is, he really is so talented and has such an eye for custom homes. It’s his craft, it’s what God blessed him with,” said Melissa. “The only problem is, he absolutely loves doing it, so he keeps wanting to build new homes! Eventually I’ll put my foot down and say this is the last one, but I can’t deny I love it too. I could move every ten years and be happy to change it up a bit. He loves designing them and I love decorating them. We make a great team!”
Melissa found Rino‘s constant trips to the bathroom while Teresa Aprea hosted dinner comical. “I love people who are goodhearted, mean no harm, and just like to have fun. That is how I see TeRESa, Rino, and their family. But, the thingy on his thingy – I could have gone without seeing that! LOL!”
Watching Teresa Giudice‘s morning routine – which is basically which child can scream the loudest and be the most needy before school and common sense and seat belts not required en route to school – made Melissa feel better about her own crazy mornings. You think?!?
“It’s those little things in life we take for granted that one day when they are all grown up we will miss doing. I enjoy every minute with my kids and spend as much time as I can with them, because one day they are going to get in their car and drive themselves to school and I’m not looking forward to that. God bless all the mommies out there!”
About former friend Amber Marchese, Melissa shared, “I will say I had no idea when I introduced Amber to my sister-in-law that she was going to have such strong feelings toward her. I know Teresa doesn’t like all the questions, and I think by now Amber should realize that. It’s not about us understanding exactly what’s going on, it’s about making sure Teresa knows we are there for her if she needs us.”
“I do feel for Amber with her scare at the doctor. She has four beautiful children she wants to stay healthy for, so it’s completely understandable that she is so stressed waiting for the results,” added Melissa. “Cancer is no joke and I would be a mess waiting for an answer.”
Melissa went all “surprise” over Jacqueline Laurita‘s return to RHONJ like we haven’t already seen the mid-season trailer. “I know the fans love her honesty and the real struggles she shares with us all. I can’t wait to see Nick’s progress! He is so adorable and his voice gets me every time!”
“I feel like life is short and you need to enjoy every moment,” concluded Melissa. “I’m realizing more and more as I get older that life isn’t ever going to be perfect, you have to roll with the punches and live day to day. If we knew what the future holds, we would all probably do things a lot differently. It’s kind of crazy to see how all of our friendships started and where they are going. A lot happens during the Florida trip and you will see how the rest of us get filled in on the rumor.”
