The happy newlyweds shared that they were thrilled with the way the wedding reception went. They wanted it to be a big party and were happy at how much fun it was.
Kandi explained to Andy that the reason the wedding started so late is that they put down for guests to arrive at 5pm. The wedding was on a Friday and the figured with traffic, etc, that they'd be able to get it going by 7pm but the dresses weren't finished, so that caused a delay as well.
To our U.S. readers: Happy Independence Day! For our readers outside the U.S.: Happy Friday!
We will be light on posting today so our writers (Melissa, Suzy, Mary, Lauren and our new recapper crew – Gina, Cecile, Kara, Geoff and Bonnie) can crawl out of their reality TV bunkers, unglue their fingers from their laptop keyboards, and peel their eyes off the television for a couple of hours. We hope they'll get some fresh air, enjoy a BBQ, maybe spend a few moments getting reacquainted with their family members and watch some explosions in the sky (rather than on TV between some catty reality stars).
If you find yourself hanging out on Reality Tea today, we're happy to have you. If you're looking for some excitement (other than the World Cup matches today!), we’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite recent articles and photo galleries for your browsing pleasure. Enjoy! And have a happy and safe 4th of July.
Do you have any pinot and popcorn left over from yesterday's long and crazy tale of the sale/notsale of Joe and Melissa Gorga's mansion in Montville? If not, go get a fresh batch of both because the story isn't over! Kai Patterson is sharing many more details and further explanations today in a statement he prepared. Lies, money issues, shady business dealings and back-outs, and much more..just another day in the RHONJ hood!
I'm going to warn you in advance that this is hella long. I was going to find a way to trim it down and summarize, but really..it's just too detailed and fascinating to cut up. In a nutshell, there's a possibility that Joe wasn't totally up front with Melissa about his side deals, repair promises and other agreements with Kai. They did ask Kai to participate in an episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey where he would say he purchased the house. Also, Patterson didn't get the keys to the house until February of this year. Melissa shut off all the utilities when they moved out in September and -big shock- the pipes allegedly froze and burst over the winter.
Settle in because here is his statement and explanation almost in its entirety!
This episode kicks off with the girls hanging out by the pool and having some drinks. I love how they each have their own unique styles. They look really cute! Elena busts out with a question about her bust. She asks Briana if she should get implants before or after she has children. Briana got hers after she had her daughter and states she has no feeling in them. Elena gives them a quick test run. Terra is bored with the boob talk, and changes the subject to what else, but herself. She has plans to be a breakout music artist and has invested a lot of money into an upcoming music video she’s going to make. She wants all the girls to be in it. Of course Christy isn’t interested because of their previous beef and Elena is on the fence, as she’s worried the video might be tacky. To be fair, the song is all about booty dancing.. there’s a slight chance for tackiness!
As with everything involving The Real Housewives of New Jersey, things are not ever as they seem. And in the case of Melissa Gorga's $3.8 million Montville mansion, the cracks are showing – literally! Kai Patterson's spokesperson reached out to shoot down the claims made in the press yesterday byJoe and Melissa regarding the sale of their home and their attempt to evict him from the mansion for non-payment. It would appear there's another side to the story (shocker!) and it's a doozy!
Mr. Patterson's rep shared an extensive response which includes a laundry list of repairs not completed on the home – with photo evidence and more. Get your popcorn and Pinot. There are BEAVERS running amok in the Gorga mansion, y'all!
"In response to your article related to the Gorga's home, Mr. Patterson's rental agreement was modified on November 21, 2013, which changed the price of the rent to $10,000 per month (See Attachment: Modification of Lease and Purchase Terms Executed by All Parties on 11-21-2014.pdf – Paragraph 3b). A subsequent agreement changed the start date of the agreement executed on November 21, 2013 to February 26, 2014 and possession was taken the property on February 28, 2014. The February 26, 2014 agreement pushed back the increase in rent until after October 2014, which the Gorgas failed to provide to the Court (See Attachment: Paragraph 1 of Modified Rider as of 02-26-2014). In addition to paying $10,000 rent, an additional $10,000 per month was to be paid towards the purchase of the property, and those payments were to be used make several needed repairs before and after taking possession of the property. Although the Gorgas were initially paid $10,000 rent, and a deposit of $25,000, which was to be applied to the purchase price of the home and used to make the repairs, none of the repairs were made on the list of repairs provided below (See: Needed Repairs List and Pictures Below)."
Earlier in the day Jenelle's fans and followers thought that she and boyfriend Nathan Griffithwere hanging at the beach. Tonight Nathan shared a photo of their newborn son's legs and feet and wrote, "And you thought we were at the beach… Sike!!!"
Well, things are making a little more sense in the sale of Joe and Melissa Gorga's mansion.
The couple reportedly sold their Montville home for full asking price of $3.8 million dollars back in August, but no sale was ever recorded with the county. Our sources told us that the couple was either renting out the home or dealing with a land-contract type situation (reportedly software engineer and Project Child Support founder Kai D. Patterson – sometimes known as Kai Paterson).
A rep for the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars shared that they are trying to evict the buyer for non payment and bounced checks. “In August 2013, the Gorgas entered into a purchase agreement with an extended close option for the sale of their Montville home. To date, the purchaser has failed to uphold his financial obligations under the agreement and provided bounced checks totaling $20,000 as well as failed to pay rent for the months of April, May, and June 2014."
Alexis was there to celebrate her friend Jackie Melby's birthday. The former reality star (once again) showed off her bikini body in a lace embellished gray and pink two-piece during the Las Vegas celebration that she organized for her BFF.
