While we all wait for the debut of season 5, the Real Housewives of New Jersey continue to promote their books and other projects. Over Mother's Day weekend, Caroline Manzo made another stop at the C. Wonder store at the Garden State Plaza.
Since it was Mother's Day weekend, Albie and Chris came to support Caroline – and provide some comic relief.
Last night the Manzo boys, Chris and Albie, kicked off their newest business venture: a restaurant called Little Town New Jersey.
The restaurant officially opens to the public today, but last night invited guests got to take a sneak peek ahead of the opening. We were among the invited, but none of us were able to attend fearing for our safety due to scheduling and logistics issues.
According to the invite: "Little Town NJ offers a diverse menu of unique regional Jersey classics inspired by local ingredients, emphasizing New Jersey farms and purveyors, as well as wineries and breweries. LTNJ will also feature various dining programs from farm-to-table pre-fix brunch buffet to “Sunday Gravy” which will serve Caroline Manzo’s famous meatballs and on weekends an on-site farmer’s market, where local farmers and suppliers can share their produce, which will also be featured in menu items."
I have, what I consider, to be bittersweet news. One of my favorites is quittingReal Housewives of New Jersey. I realize I'm likely in the minority, but I have a soft-spot for most of the Manzos. Sure I didn't like when Caroline Manzo got all bitter for an entire season (I was fearful someone was going to awaken to a horse head in their bed), but I do think she is sick of the toxicity and drama…even if she was a participant.
Even though it can certainly be argued that Caroline's children are overly coddled, I still think Albie and Chris are good guys. A friend of mine grew up with Albie, and he has nothing but nice things to say about their family. Of course, without the Manzo boys, there would be no Greg Bennett. Greggy is by far my favorite Manzo by association…and now he's leaving.
Greg is heading to the West Coast at the end of this month to make his home in San Francisco. Sadly (for me), this means he will no longer be appearing on RHONJ, but I'm hoping that he gets some screen time when he comes back to visit!
ThoseReal Housewives of New Jersey never take a day off. When they aren't filming, they are hard at work promoting their wares, trying to keep the ship afloat. Whether it's Teresa Giudice pimping her cookbooks, drinks and hair products, Melissa Gorga serenading us with her latest tunes, or the Manzo-Lauritas hawking their blk. water, these Jersey gals are workin' hard for the money.
This weekend was no exception. The blk crew, Caroline Manzo, Albie and Chris Manzo,Jacqueline Laurita and husband Chris, were at Stacks Pancake House in Paramus for a water tasting and bottle signing – and we have the pics for you!

The Sparkling Event, owned by Candice Laurita and Cristina Granelli, raised nearly $17,000 for Autism Speaks. Guests purchased raffle tickets for items like a trip to Mexico, Samsung Galaxy tablets, and thousands of dollars worth of skin care and makeup from CafFace in Franklin Lakes.
Oh those Manzo boys are quite the little business men, aren't they? First BLK Water and now a restaurant! Real Housewives of New Jersey'sAlbie and Chris have teamed up with two New York City based restaurateurs Michael Sinensky and Sean McGarr to open a place in Hoboken which will serve dishes created with local produce, meat, and seafood, as well as craft beers and wine.
The restaurant will be called Little Town New Jersey, and it already has a New York counterpart.
