Terra breaks down the episode, beginning with uncharacteristically kind words for cast mate (and sworn enemy!) Christy McGinity Gibel, who sadly suffered a mini-stroke during neck surgery that left her with multiple health hurdles to overcome. Terra offers, “When it comes to Christy, it is really crazy to see the chaos that she’s having to deal with and I honestly wish her good health.”
Terra Jole came back to reality on last night’s Little Women: LA, and that reality was filled with health problems and broken friendships. As Terra prepares for hernia surgery, Christy McGinity Gibel begins the slow process of recovering from neck surgery – including complications which resulted in a mini-stroke. Sadly, the group is so fractured at this point, they can barely support Terra or Christy in their time of need, focusing instead on their resentments and anger. Case in point: Briana Renee and Elena Gant.
Terra returns home after her press junket, which followed elimination from Dancing With the Stars. Tonya Banks has been Terra’s sole support system throughout her stint on the show, while Joe Gnoffo has basically been imprisoned with their two children (he can’t leave the house with them, given his own health challenges). After coming home, Joe admits he’s glad DWTS is over. Terra admits she placed a ton of pressure on him to single-parent their kids while she was gone, but now she has to face the music – motherhood and hernia surgery.
It seemed pretty obvious to me that this would be more of an Erika Jayne situation, but I figured she would mix a little bit of her every day life in with her DWTSpersona. Apparently, that’s not the case though. Erika will be all about the outrageous alter ego and I am all for it.
Who is Erika‘s competition? Well, she has her work cut out for her, as she’s up against gymnast Simone Biles, Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei, Glee (um, hello, dancing!) star Heather Morris, and figure skater Nancy Kerrigan. Just to name a few. Check out the full cast list below and let us know if you’ll watch.
It’s been a few peaceful months since the ladies of Little Women: LA have dragged each other through the wringer. Fall dropped its leaves. Winter brought holiday warmth and cozy feelings for all mankind. The promise of spring is right around the corner. I even did some major deep breathing before hitting “play” on my DVR last night in hopes that peace and harmony will reign supreme on season six.
It seemed all good in the hood when former Bacheloretteleads Kaitlyn Bristowe and Andi Dorfman joined their mutual runner-up Nick Viall during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel to promote Nick’s season of The Bachelor. The thought of this made me feel awkward given Kaitlyn and Nick’s history, but also because of Kaitlyn’s rocky history with the Bachelor franchise. Kaitlyn infamously spoiled her own Bachelorette season when she accidentally posted a photo with her in bed with her winner/fiance Shawn Booth. So I was pretty surprised when she was back in the fold promoting The Bachelor. Well, that was short-lived since Kaitlyn ranted on Twitter about Nick getting the opportunity to be on Dancing With the Stars.
The last lead from the franchise to appear on DWTSwas Chris Soules and many people credit the demise of his Bachelor engagement with Whitney Bischoff to being on Dancing With the Stars. And many past Bachelor leads have warned their successors from following in their foot steps since the show is rough for a new relationship. So it wasn’t super surprising when the last three series leads did not go on to the ballroom. Well, apparently there’s more to that.
It’s been a hot minute since we last saw the ladies of Little Women: LA tearing it up on the small screen. If you’ve been missing the drama, the babies, the gnarly doings of Briana Renee’s ne’er do well husband – then, good news! Tonight, Lifetime premieres season 6, which promises to bring all of that and more.
Terra Jole recently blogged about some highlights from the season ahead, which picked up filming midway through her jaunt on Dancing With The Stars – a feat that left her with health issues, and some relationships to fix. Terra previews, “It’s incredible that we are already starting the crazy world of season six! There’s going to be drama, tears and laughter … with a side of screaming because what would Little Women be without some screaming?!” Exactly.
