Andy asks Kim if she is competing on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. Neither confirming nor denying, she says, “I’m so excited. There’s so many fantastic opportunities that are coming up this year for me. I’m celebrating my fortieth year in the industry. We got a lot of great things going on, lots of fun stuff happening.” That sounds like “yes but I’m not allowed to say so” to me.
According to Us Weekly, Kim, who is best known for her work on Facts of Life, Living Single, and the critically acclaimed Cynthia Bailey Eyewear ‘mercial, is a sure thing for Season 22… and Kenya Moore twirls herself off a cliff in 3, 2, 1…
We have a new batch of reality star sightings for you this morning! Above: Lala Kent and James Kennedy, (who are currently occupying the top 2 spots on Santa’s Naughty List) were snapped as they made their way around NYC this week to promote Vanderpump Rules. Including an unforgettable appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
In reality, Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough took home the mirror ball trophy last night, but Kim did finally get to perform the I Dream Of Jeannie inspired Samba she was schedule to do the week she withdrew. “It was very emotional,” shared Kim. “I had a stroke when I left. I had heart surgery three weeks ago. So, to be back here doing my dance, it goes way beyond the show and the experience. I am so thankful to be here.” See the weepy video Kim posted on Instagram after her 30 seconds of Samba below.
In case you’ve been stuck under a rock for the past three weeks, Kim and her pro partner, Tony Dovolani, were forced to withdraw from Dancing with the Stars when Kim suffered a mini stroke and wasn’t medically cleared to fly from Atlanta to Los Angeles for the live show. Kim begged, pleaded, and organized an online petition to get back on the show to no avail. But, still squeezing, Kim shared video today from her last rehearsal with Tony, adding, “I miss dancing!!”
This morning Kim posted a photo of herself in the accused waist trainer (which she claimed help her tone up post-twins), and shot down criticisms that the restrictive garment contributed to her Transient Ischemic Attack last month.
Kim has since been cleared to fly. So, she hopped on a plane and headed to New York City for an appearance on Good Morning America, where she talked about the mini stroke she suffered three weeks ago, the heart condition her doctors discovered while she was hospitalized, and the disappointment she felt over ‘the powers that be’ forcing her to withdraw from Dancing with the Stars.
