While it is sad to lose a friend, Lisa says Joanna is no friend – and never was one! "In between the wedding and the reunion, I was able to see full episodes of the show and read Joanna’s interviews in the press. It became very clear to me she was no friend of mine," Lisa explains to WetPaint.
"You know, it’s funny. In the weeks prior to the reunion, she had started really reaching out to me again," Lisa remarks. "Looking back, I think she was just trying to play me and disarm me."
Lenny and Lisa Hochstein threw their 7th annual Halloween Ball, which benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation and we have the photos for you!
Several of Lisa'sReal Housewives of Miami co-stars made an appearance at the party on Friday night, but only Marysol Patton opted to dress up for the event – going as a school girl. Lea Black and Karent Sierra both posed for pictures with Lisa, but both wore simple all black ensembles. No slutty costumes for those two!
Lisa and Lenny went all out with some creepy and bloody displays around their mansion, as well as entertaining several dozen interesting guests….
No word yet on how much money they raised for the charity.
Bravo viewers have watched Real Housewives of Miami'sLisa Hochstein struggle with infertility for the past two seasons, and she has revealed that she has suffered miscarriages and failed IVF attempts in her efforts to start a family. However, when plastic surgeon husband Lenny mentioned looking into a surrogate, Lisa was uneasy, telling him, “I can still try. It’s uncomfortable for me to think of my baby growing in some other woman’s tummy.”
Now, we are learning why. Apparently, Lisa and Lenny had looked into a surrogate in the past only to face more disappointment.
The couple purchased an estate on Star Island at auction for the low, low price of $7.6 million. Lisa and Lenny intended to tear down the dilapidated structure on the foreclosed property and build their dream home in its place. Unfortunately, the pair's plans have been put on hold. They are now in a legal battle with the Miami Design Preservation League after the group's attempts to label the existing house as a historical landmark. If the preservationists are successful, then it's ciao to the new casa.
The home in question was designed in 1925 by famed Miami architect Walter DeGarmo famous for the popular Mediterranean-Revival style of historic Miami. When historic preservation groups got wind of the Hochsteins' plans they immediate swung into action and fought to deny the demolition.
Lenny and Lisa bought the home in a foreclosure auction sight unseen. No inspection was done at the time of purchase. Lenny claims they had initially planned to renovate the existing home but then discovered serious structural damage including a sinking foundation and decided it could not be salvaged. The home was NOT zoned a historic property at the time of purchase.
Preservation groups believe Lenny and Lisa planned to tear down the house all along and they are standing up to wealthy homeowners to protect their city.
Apparently houses built by boobs are like way, way more important than historic homes designed by famous architects! Lisa Hochstein and her husband Dr. Lenny Hochstein recently purchased a home on Star Island, and that home is part of Miami's history.
They couple has plans to completely tear down the home to make way for a new, over-the-top, ode to plastic surgery mansion in its place. There's only one problem… the home the Real Housewives of Miami star purchased was actually designed in 1925 by Walter DeGarmo, a famous Miami architect credited with the Mediterranean Revival-style that helped define the city.
Which means the Hochstein's home is considered something of a historic landmark.
Local historical preservation activists and city planning boards have taken issue with the Hochstein's plan to destroy a beautiful representation of historic Miami Beach. Residents have since started a petition to bar Lisa and Lenny from destroying the home!
Last night on Real Housewives of Miami we were exposed to the parental lineage of the Housewives clan. No not just Mama Elsa, but we met Fembot Fakenstein's in-laws and Joanna Krupa's mama. And Adriana de Moura hosted an anniversary party for the parents of the man she's been stringing along for years and will probably never marry until Bravo agrees to shell-out for the wedding and a spinoff.
Things begin with Lea Black having a birthday party for her eleven-year-old son RJ. They've decided to host the party at the "new house" on Star Island which they are planning to gut renovate so it doesn't matter if the wild boys tear up the joint. And since this is how Housewives roll Lea decides to invite some of her fellow-Housewives, plus Elaine Lancaster, to cause some drama.
Fembot shows up first, very early, and nervy beans but ready to rip on Lea's not-yet-redone home. Then Alexia Echevarria, Elaine, and Lisa Pliner (who whaddya wanna bet is auditioning for next season's cast). Immediately talk turns to Marysol Patton and the drama at Lisa's party last week.
Lisa P is still Team Elaine and maintains that Marysol tried to convince her to hire someone else over Elaine, citing it would be free. Elaine/James is highly incensed and everyone bickers back and forth about Marysol's motives. Lisa perceived it as Marysol was attacking her. Alexia defended Marysol as being non-confrontational. It's so rare to see Housewives defend each other. #shocking
