Y’all, sometimes it just boggles my mind how much people seemingly change when they become reality stars. You can always spot the green newbie, innocent and wide-eyed, who seems almost terrified of the drama brought on by her veteran co-stars. Sometimes, these first-timers won’t compromise changing themselves to create craziness and become fan favorites or the one everyone loves to hate. Their desire to stick to their morals often makes them come across as boring, making them one-and-done in the reality television world. Real Housewives of Orange County’sLydia McLaughlin, anyone? Of course, then there are those who start out timid and almost goody-goody, but they quickly learn from their counterparts and become masters of their own reality destiny. You know I’m talking about Real Housewives of Atlanta’sPorsha Stewart!
Girlfriend started out as a pretty wallflower, but she’s taken pages out of the brazen NeNe Leakes’ and the kray-kray Krayonce Moore’s playbooks to become quite a reality vixen. She’s building a brand, y’all! She’s got a lingerie line. Heck, she even assaulted a cast mate at a reunion! Now, she may even have her own platform for finding her next sugar daddy. Porsha’s clearly figured out this game!
About Porsha blowing her off, Claudia said, “I was surprised when I saw the shade at work, because before I moved to Atlanta, Porsha and I had hung out a few times in NYC and Miami and we have always had a good time.”
“I’m just the type that believes in at least trying,” Claudia said about reaching out to Porsha. “And I’m also not the type of woman that can ever be influenced to like or not like someone else based on anyone else’s opinion or experience. Maybe because of my journalism roots, but I like to see and find out for myself. I could never have another grown woman put a battery in my back or a thought in my brain. That is the ultimate fail.”
Last night on Real Housewives Of Atlanta, a certain former beauty queen showed emotions other than shade and venom! Kenya Moore, tired of being blamed for an offense she did not commit, tired of being yanked into bitter marital drama, lost it. And dang if she didn’t give me just the teeniest twinge of sympathy pangs. Don’t worry – they’ll be short-lived!
I just want to get this out of the way first since we’re apparently gonna have to talk about this Kenya/Apollo Nida mess endlessly, my opinion is this: Apollo is a liar. End of story. Phaedra Parks and Kenya need to sit down, one-on-one, woman-to-woman and without shade.
Moving on, Kandi Burruss‘ business is a mess – she’s paying employees who are letting her down by not completing projects. This is what happens when you employ friends! Despite Mama Joyce calling Todd an “opportunist” – it seems like he’s the only person wanting Kandi’s business to grow and produce! He tells Kandi she needs to get her team – led by Don Juan – motivated to produce results. Kandi’s all like ohhhhnooooo… conflict. Ummm… errrrrr… lemme put on my most professional figure skating costume with the gold sparkly leotard and get these people in line because I sign their paychecks and Mama Joyce needs another new house!
Our favorite reality TV stars cannot get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to social media to share even more of their daily lives with us. And we love them for it. Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite photos from this week. Enjoy.
Cynthia stands firm that she was never Team Porsha regarding the reunion showdown with Kenya Moore. “I have known Porsha for a couple of years now, and we have never had any real issues until this last reunion. To my knowledge our only issue is I did not support her actions at the reunion. I have always made it clear that the reunion is a provocative environment for everyone involved. I adamantly did not support her choice to resort to physical violence, and I never will. Shortly after, she did WWHL, and claimed that I supported her actions and then I didn’t support her actions. I do not support physical violence. Period! I thought this was clear out the gate during the reunion, when I did not jump off the couch to run to her side.”
On her support system: “While our show is about a group of women who socialize together, socializing does not equate to true friendship. True friends delight in the building up of one another rather than bashing each other. Throughout my tumultuous situation it has been Porsha’s sweetness, NeNe’s constant support and advice, coupled with Kandi’s steadfast friendship that has sustained and comforted me.”
On dating, she took the Kenya Moore approach by giving a bit of a non-answer about whether she’s seeing anyone: “I go from one moment wanting to be in love and get married again. And then somebody will do something and I’m like ‘you know what? I’m just dealing with Porsha’.” I’m translating that as “No, I’m not dating.”
Has she made up with Kenya Moore? She doesn’t exactly say straight up and instead talks about the reunion incident. “I feel like at that moment, I gave a bully power. I’ve vowed to never let that happen again. ‘I give you nothing.'”
