Real Housewives of New Jersey
The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars were set to the face a Federal Judge for sentencing in their fraud case on September 23rd, but today it was announced that the date was moved again – by nine more days. U.S. District Judge Esther Salas’ office postponed the case to October 2, 2014.
There wasn’t a reason given for the change in date, but I’m sure that hammering out the final details of their sentencing is no easy task.
She may have gotten downgraded to a “friend” of the housewives of this season (maybe on the Real Housewives of New Jersey it’s being relegated to a “relative” of the housewives!), but Kathy Wakile is using her free time constructively. Kathy has finally penned her first cookbook regaling her love of dessert making. Her cannoli kits have even been featured on RHONJ.
Maybe it’s because she’s sweeter than her co-stars (bad pun!), but Kathy is excited to feature her in bite-sized bits of deliciousness in“Indulge: Delicious Little Desserts that Keep Life Real Sweet” (St. Martin’s Griffin, $26.99), and she’s not even trying to compete with another cast member/friend/relative who is also delving into the dessert realm after building her food empire. Table flipping anyone?

The second half of the new season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is going to be an explosive one! Shocking, right? This afternoon Bravo released a mid-season trailer to get fans excited about the upcoming episodes and it doesn’t disappoint.
First, we have the return of Jacqueline Laurita. Jacqueline will be there for Teresa Giudice as she faces the outcome and repercussions of pleading guilty to fraud in Federal Court and also to share more about her family’s journey with autism and the struggles (and triumphs) that accompany it.
Teresa deals with the aftermath of pleading guilty and her potential sentencing and also contemplates sending the Giudice head of household, aka Milania, off to boarding school. She’s kidding. We think.
Twin sisters and cast newbies Nicole Napolitano and Teresa Aprea are understandably upset over the accusations made about their mother Santa having an affair with son-in-law Rino Aprea on the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Santa is so angry that she may file suit against…Jim Marchese? Color us confused, but were we watching the same episode? The one where VICTORIA GOTTI told the tale of Rino and Santa’s fling? And shared that it came straight from Rino himself?
The twins went to Us Weekly to share their tale of woe. And Us Weekly apparently did not see the show and claimed in their article that Jim is the one who relayed the gossip to us viewers. (photo above is of the moment Amber and Teresa hear the rumor from Victoria Gotti) Maybe Jim should sue Us Weekly for their error and besmirching his reputation! UNLESS the ladies/Us Weekly are claiming Jim starts spreading the story in upcoming episodes, but still, it didn’t originate with him.
Joe and Melissa Gorga have been trying to stop the financial bleed that is their former mansion by booting Kai from the premises for nonpayment of rent. The Gorgas have been struggling financially as they have to continue paying mortgage payments on their Montville home, plus the rental costs at their current home in Franklin Lakes, plus paying for attorneys (three so far) and most likely forking over for major repairs to the mansion.
Kai shared a statement this afternoon after the judge ruled – and it sounds like the final ruling was in his favor.
You know, for being such an important guy who has so many important jobs, Jim Marchese sure has a lot of free time to gossip about Real Housewives of New Jersey. Do not even get me started on his Twitter activity. Oy. Most recently, Jim chatted with AfterBuzz TV about all the drama, his friendship with Bobby Ciasulli, the casting process, and more. And he did not hold back!
When asked if Real Housewives of New Jersey was the first reality TV experience for him and his wife, Amber Marchese, Jim said, “My first. Amber actually appeared on Restaurant Stakeout. But this is my first exposure to the wonderful world of reality TV.”
“Amber was contacted in February,” continued Jim. “They didn’t really tell us the name of the show at the time or any of the details. We ended up coming on board March/April of 2013. It was exciting for her and a real nice opportunity for me. My role was going to be very limited – just around my wife, around my children, and to help my friend at the time Bobby.”

Remember when Teresa Giudice filed for bankruptcy to the tune of $13.5 million dollars… all those long years ago after the first season of Real Housewives of New Jersey? Well, Teresa’s bankruptcy is finally settled!
Teresa has pretty much moved in at the courthouse, which I suppose is better than a jail cell, because Teresa and Joe returned to court to finally discharge their Chapter 7 filing of which there were 45 claimants.
“The case is fully and properly accounted for as provided by law. The trustee hereby requests to be discharged from further duties as a trustee,” the trustee, John W. Sywilok stated in court documents.
