In a recent interview, loony lips discussed the differences between reality television and reality. Which is interesting, because I really question if she knows!
Taylor claims, the drama viewers see is completely unscripted, and the emotions and relationships are authentic. “We don’t have writers, so everything is just us interacting with one another,” Taylor explains, speaking to Discover San Diego, “but the real conflict that occurs is all on our own, as much as I’m embarrassed to say that,” she laughs.
“All of our relationship drama is very real. Unfortunately, our lives are not cookie cutter like people expected Beverly Hills to be. So I’m happy in a way that people have been able to see so much of how real these women are and that we really care about each other,” she continues.
“And the fact that we get so emotional is because we are truly invested in each other’s lives and we are a part of each other’s lives.” Taylor is glad the show is able to capture those fun moments, as well. “Any time we are all just having fun together, it makes me so happy to see, because we do have our ups and downs and we’ve all been through a lot together.”
And without her friendships to these ladies, Taylor doesn’t know how she would have survived last season’s dramatic storyline; which she believes was so intense because she was willing to expose more of her life on camera. Taylor claims, season one Taylor was a Taylor hiding from reality and viewers got to see a big difference in her authenticity in season two. “When I watched season one of the show, I really didn’t like me, and I was just a shell of myself,” she reveals.
Taylor blames her late husband, Russell Armstrong, of course. “I was trying to keep so much of my personal life off television that I was — it looked like me in some respects, but the way I was dressing and acting didn’t seem anything like me. And that was a real wake-up call, to see how much of myself I had lost in my relationship. And also seeing my relationship play out on television.”
“Although I knew there were things that were wrong, I could see such a difference between the way, just in our physical space together, how we interacted versus other couples on the show. It brought to light a lot, and I think was one of the biggest catalysts for us going into treatment and therapy in the beginning of last year.”
She calls this season, actual reality and says it was impossible to keep the unflattering and emotional parts of her life away from the cameras. “I was just such a mess this last year, I really was just falling apart and I wasn’t able to keep everything that was going on in my personal life under wraps any longer. I knew too many things were going to come out in the press. And so I really was falling apart, and it was happening as much off camera as it was on,” she describes.
Taylor is not disappointed she was on national TV working through her crisis, if anything she feels it’s a poignant reminder of how far she’s come. “I feel like unfortunately that was an accurate portrayal of the state I was in. And in season one, I was just putting on a facade of who I thought people wanted to see, instead of really letting them into my life. Now that my life is just an open book, it’s a much better place to be.”
Taylor credits the show for giving her the courage to expose the truth behind her marriage, and for allowing her to be a voice for domestic violence, although she is shocked by fan reaction to her storyline. “It is surprising at times, because you don’t know how it’s all going to play out and you don’t know what people are saying about you when you’re not around. So that can be surprising,” she says of watching the shows and then learning of viewers’ reactions.
According to Taylor, the best part of being a Real Housewife is the good moments the cameras have captured; particularly Kennedy‘s opulent birthday parties. Taylor also believes the show has given her a platform to really advocate for domestic violence victims, and she has starting her own foundation to further the cause; The Taylor Armstrong Foundation.
The Taylor Armstrong Foundation is a 501 c3 a not-for-profit, that helps local shelters around the country.
Us Weekly is reporting that despite Camille insisting the parting was mutual; she actually was fired! Apparently, Camille started making demands to the network and refused to incorporate her personal life into the storyline, so Bravo ultimately decided she was more trouble than she was worth.
Camille learned of the news that she would not be returning on Friday afternoon. “She got a call from producers telling her she wouldn’t be returning to the show,” an insider reveals. “She’s demanding and complicated to work with,” a second insider adds.
Apparently, the former Mrs. Grammer was completely blown away by the news and was in Vegas for the weekend with now former co-stars Kyle Richards and Adrienne Maloof. “Camille really didn’t think there was a chance that they wouldn’t ask her back, so she was pretty surprised and upset this weekend,” the source reveals. “She was definitely in a funk this weekend.”
While season one Camille was a villain and a lightening rod for both controversy and ratings, season two Camille was low-key and calculated and wanted to maintain that persona in season three. “She’s very careful about how she’s portrayed, and didn’t want to put herself out there without having a say in how she came across.”
“There’s nothing interesting left about her character. She refused to feature her boyfriend [Dimitri Charalambopoulos], and she didn’t want to expose her kids anymore.”
Bravo did approach Camille about returning in a Friends of the Housewives capacity, but Camille wasn’t interested. Camille is allegedly “bummed” her involvement with the series is over, but, “She wants to move on in a positive direction in her life.”
And moving along to someone who is clinging onto her involvement with RHOBH for dear life, is Taylor Armstrong. According to a new report today by the Huffington Post, the Bravo network is seriously considering firing Taylor!
The reason? They’re aware of the fact that most viewers are not a fan, plus they might be wanting to move away from last year’s tragic suicide of Russell Armstrong.
“Kim’s battle with substance abuse is much easier to deal with than someone whose husband committed suicide,” an insider states. “If they don’t invite Taylor back, then she will be free to say whatever she wants. If they do, they will be able to control her, but at the same time they must fear that her participation will turn off viewers.”
A Bravo insider adds that Bravo has officially invited back three of the housewives! “Lisa, Adrienne, and Kyle have all been invited back and are expected to sign their contracts this week,” a Bravo insider reveals. “If all goes to according plan, Kim [Richards] and Brandi [Glanville] will also be part of next season.”
While Bravo decides on whether or not to axe Taylor, it appears they already have a replacement in mind for her! A source tells Reality Tea the RHOBH producers have been in talks with Diana Roque Ellis.
The source states Diana, a portrait artist, is friends with Adrienne and has lived in Beverly Hills for over 20 years. “She has been under consideration for two months and then last week they were filming at her house doing promotional shots with her,” says the source. Guess we’ll have to wait and see!

According to a shocking new report by Radar Online, a source is revealing that whenTaylor Armstrongclaimed in her memoir that her deceased husbandRussell Armstrong once tried to drown her, she was telling the truth. And in fact a police report about the incident was filed.
Radar Online reveals the incident occurred back at the home of theReal Housewives of Beverly Hills stars a few years ago and names two witnesses to the alleged abuse. Those two are Taylor’s friends – Jennifur Diamond and her then husband Mark Alsentzer.
A source reveals the drama began when Russell flew into a rage and injured Mark. Russell then left the group, after which Taylor begged Mark not to press charges. However, Russell was eavesdropping on the group’s conversation and heard Taylor state: “Just take care of Kennedy if anything happens.”
Upon hearing this, Russell allegedly jumped out of the bushes and lost it. “Russell was in a frenzy, and he had a wild look in his eyes. He hit Mark, and threw Jennifur, her dog, and Taylor in the swimming pool and tried to drown Taylor. Taylor thought she was going to die as Russell held her under the water,” a source reveals.
“Mark and Jennifur were able to pull Russell off of her and probably saved her life. The cops were called and a police report was filed. At that point Taylor hadn’t been receiving any therapy, and she begged and pleaded with her friends not to press charges. Taylor had to cover her neck for several weeks because of the choke marks. She even had trouble speaking because of Russell’s strength when he tried to choke her,” continues the source.
“Mark got 16 stitches and had work done on his teeth because of what Russell did,” the insider said. “I can’t be sure that Russell gave them money to stay quiet, but he definitely gave them money to cover the expenses of Mark’s medical stuff which was somewhere around $12,000.”
Have a few questions about this report, the first being, why hasn’t this police report been made public? And was the police report only a complaint about Russell injuring Mark? Because if his alleged attempt to drown Taylor was reported, surely that would have led to Russell’s arrest and some serious charges.
Moving on to a lighter topic, Brandi Glanville, age 39 (she looks younger no?) shares her beauty and plastic surgery secrets with Shape magazine! Below are excerpts from Brandi’s interview –
SHAPE: You’re in such amazing shape but also such a busy mom. What’s your workout regimen like and how do you find time to stay in shape?
BG: After I drop my kids off at school, I head right to my Pilates trainer. I’ve had the same one for nine years! I started with her when I was pregnant with [my son] Mason. Before that, I had never even really worked out before! Once I got pregnant, everything kind of changed. Now I do three times a week and besides that, I stay active by going on bike rides with my kids, walking the dogs, or going for a hike near my home. I can’t even think about stepping foot on a treadmill!
SHAPE: You also have amazing skin. What’s your skincare regimen?
BG: I get a spray tan every week. I also have issues like adult acne and Melasma (patches of skin discoloration) since I’ve had my kids, so I try everything—lasers, photo facials—and I wear hats all the time to protect myself from sun.
SHAPE: It seems there would be a lot of pressures in Beverly Hills to always look perfect. How do you deal with that?
BG: Having grown up modeling, I’m very self-aware of my physical appearance. It’s hard to grow older, especially in this town where everyone is perfect! They’re all 20 years old and gorgeous and I’m now in same dating pool as them, yikes, it’s really hard! This town makes you insecure. And yes, I’ll cop to a few plastic surgery procedures like Botox and fillers. I think everyone should do what makes them feel good but remember: Less is more!
Brandi was also asked about how she deals with negativity from some fans, to which she responded: “People have said horrible things like I’m ‘plastic’ and I’m a bad mom. I think after three years of hearing it I have just developed a thick skin. I think it’s human nature, and I know what they say isn’t true so I’ve learned to not take it to heart.”

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE REPORT ABOUT RUSSELL AND TAYLOR? DO YOU BELIEVE IT? AND THOUGHTS ON BRANDI’S INTERVIEW?
Well, I really hate to be the bearer of potential bad news, but according to the gossip, Bravo will be asking the entire current Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast to return for round three. And yes, that includes fan-least-favorite, Taylor Armstrong!
While Taylor worried she would be on the chopping block, her marital meltdown and subsequent domestic abuse saga proved to be ratings gold for the show. Her rumored return conflicts with reports that Bravo sees her as a liability due to her legal issues, which may involve the network directly. Personally, I think a lot of people tuned in for shock value, not because the show was enjoyable – but I could be wrong! I’m surprised any of these women would come back following this awful season, but lord knows they love attention!
And per previous reports, Camille Grammer has lost interest in the show – likely after being embroiled in Taylor’s lies accusations. “Bravo would love Camille to return too, but she might want to move on to other projects which she has expressed interest in.”
Also, looking for a new job, Kim! “Kim Richards, has made it known she doesn’t want to come back. Kim is still very fragile after her latest stint in rehab,” an insider close to the situation reveals.
Apparently, Lisa’s return is bittersweet as she was hoping her spin off would get picked up. Lisa has also expressed reservations about participating in another season after two of her former friends, trashed her during the reunion. “Lisa was hoping to follow in the footsteps of New York housewife Bethenny Frankel who had her own successful spin-offs focusing on her wedding and new baby, but the network decided not to pick up her show,” a RHOBH source said.
No contracts have been extended, but Bravo is said to be formally making an offer to the ladies in the next few weeks. To replace some of the leaving co-tarts, Bravo is still searching for new women to join the cast and hopefully bring back the fun. “The network is actively looking for new cast members for the third season,” the insider adds. Taping for the third season is expect to begin on July 4th. Well, that sounds like disappointing news, no?
While Taylor and Russell have been known to throw extremely expensive, over-the-top birthday parties for Kennedy–case in point the $65,000 they spent for her 4th birthday–Taylor is reportedly planning to throw a low-key event for Kennedy’s upcoming 6th birthday.
“It was Russell that always pushed to have the over the top parties, he would always invite his business associates to try and impress them,” a source close to the situation tells Radar. “Taylor wants to invite Kennedy’s siblings so they can hopefully begin to have a closer relationship. Taylor feels that the party could be a good jumping off point for that to happen. Taylor isn’t close with Russell’s exes, but she recognizes this isn’t about the adults, but what is best for their children. All three of the kids don’t have a father anymore and they need each other now more than ever.”
And finally, Dr. Paul Nassifhas done got himself an alleged stalker! No, it’s not a lady trying to convince him that Adrienne is undeserving of his love and adorableness, it’s a former patient who doesn’t like his new nose!
TMZ reports that Paul is seeking a restraining order against former patient, Roman Melikov, claiming he has harassed and threatened Paul and his family! Oh, no – I hope Jackpot is ok!
According to a police report filed by Paul, Mr. Melikov incessantly called his office demanding to speak to him directly. He threatened, “If I don’t get to f**king talk to Dr. Nassif, I will just show up and f**king wait for him to talk to me because he needs to f**king pay for this!”
What really alarmed Paul and his staff was a voicemail Mr. Melikov left, in which he referred to himself as “psycho!” And another where he threatened to come to Paul’s house to “have Nassif’s wife help him out of pity.”
After several of these verbal threats, Paul’s staff became concerned that Mr. Melikov was mentally unstable, and would come to the office “and do something crazy.” Paul is seeking a restraining order to keep Mr. Melikov away from him and his family. Mr. Melikov in exchange wants a $26,000 refund for the nose he claims Paul screwed up.
Mr. Melikov attests that the swelling didn’t go down for two years, and his nose is now bigger and uglier post surgery! He also insists Paul took his “psycho” comment completely out of context. Melikov, a 25-year-old portfolio manager, claims he was actually referring to the stock market when he used the chosen word, as in: “I told him I had to be a psycho to invest in this market, because it has been so volatile.”
Sounds like Paul should just give him a refund. Maybe he and Adrienne really are broke!
ARE YOU SURPRISED TO LEARN THE ENTIRE RHOBH CAST WILL BE ASKED BACK? IS TAYLOR REALLY AS UNPOPULAR AS PEOPLE THINK? IS TAYLOR GENUINE IN REACHING OUT TO RUSSELL’S SONS? DOES PAUL OWE HIS DISGRUNTLED EX-PATIENT A REFUND?
Controversy over Taylor Armstrong‘s memoir, published mere months after her estranged husband Russell Armstrong‘s suicide, has been attracting a lot of attention in the press – particularly because speculation over the truth behind her allegations has emerged.
Recent rumors have posited that Taylor’s antics and the negative attention she is receiving because of her penchant for dishonesty (along with a recent lawsuit that may involve Bravo) has Bravo seeing her as a “liability,” which will likely jeopardize her spot on next season’s cast. Well, Taylor is speaking out defending herself and her actions – and explaining why it’s important that she remain a part of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!
Standing by her decision to publish her book, Taylor insists her motive was not money. Who does she expect to believe that? “I know how it looks,” she says, responding to a question about capitalizing from Russell’s death. She claims she wanted people to start talking about the horrors of domestic violence. “If I didn’t think this would make a difference, I wouldn’t be doing it,” she told the Los Angeles Times. “Trust me, you don’t make that much money off a book.” But you do make money off publicity tours, appearances, and advances associated with a book!
While Taylor is adamant she did not release this memoir with any untoward intentions, it is well-known that Russell’s family and friends–most vocally his sister Laurie Kelsoe –are insistent that the allegations Taylor makes are completely untrue and have made Russell seem like someone he was not. Laurie believes the show has “completely defaced his character,” telling Dr. Drew in a recent interview: “Shame on [Taylor] for doing this and for thinking that all he was was bad … if that’s the case, then why did she stay there and spend his money?”
Firing back, Taylor insists Laurie wasn’t a part of their lives and had no idea what went on behind closed doors. “There are a number of people who are trying to find their way into the story of my life with Russell,” Taylor asserts. “Russell’s sister Laurie Kelsoe … has no basis for saying anything about my life with Russell. She lives almost 1,500 miles away and saw our family on a small number of occasions.”
“The facts are there,” Taylor says of what went on in her marriage. But that is exactly the problem. There are no facts – only Taylor’s so-called recollections about what occurred. Which is why more questions are emerging about the validity of her claims. The LA Times asked Dr. Catherine Hwang, an orbital and oculo-plastics surgeon at UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute, about orbital floor injuries.
Dr. Hwang, who did not treat Taylor, explains fractures of that nature can occur from a range of incidents. Taylor has maintained that she had no bruising after Russell “raised up one elbow and punched me hard, in the right eye.” Dr. Hwang finds that surprising, given Taylor’s age and the nature of the injury. “Usually, older patients have some sort of bruising,” Dr. Hwang mentioned. “But anything is possible.”
Taylor planned to write her book before Russell’s death – although she claims he was not aware of her intentions. If Russell had not passed away, Taylor says, “I don’t think I could have been as honest.” Citing the difficulty she had putting her life out there and down on paper, Taylor explains: “Bearing your soul to people is really hard.”
“I wanted it to be really raw and honest,”Taylor shared with OK! at Barnes & Noble at The Grove.
While Russell had no knowledge of her intentions to publish a book, Taylor recalls he had ascertained that news of her injuries would emerge in the media. “He did know, though, that the extent of the abuse would likely come out in the press.”
“I spent a couple of days in Cedars-Sinai after [the eye] incident. There were nurses around. Plenty of people saw me in the operating room. The odds of keeping that under wraps, I mean, come on. He absolutely knew it was all going to come out. That was really something he was dreading.”
“One of Russell’s big concerns, which he would bring up constantly after my eye incident, is, ‘Do you think the D.A. could press charges against me and put me in jail whether you press charges or not?’ I hate to say it, I would have wanted to protect him from that.”
As for her decision to release the novel memoir a “hot minute” after Russell took his life, Taylor believes it was imperative that she get her story out there quickly. “I just didn’t feel like waiting was necessary. Also, I didn’t want to wait until I had euphoric recall and forgetting about all of the things that had happened.”
“Unfortunately, there are so many people out there that are living in dangerous situations that I really felt like it was important enough for me to get this story out there and take the criticism that comes with it,” she adds.
And defending herself against any involvement in Russell’s financial dealings, Taylor a businesswoman herself, claims she had no role in his businesses. Multiple reports have come forward contesting this. “I scratch my head about the finance stuff all the time,” Taylor muses. “I’m still trying to pick up the pieces of the mess that was left behind.”
“I have days when I’m in a ball, where I just sit and stare at the wall and just cry. … I have every emotion in the world,” she says of dealing with the loss. “I have incredible sadness for Russell. I miss him, I long for him. But I’m angry with him for leaving this mess for me to clean up.” Apparently she’s resilient enough to hit the red carpet on weekly basis!
Confronting a recent report that she is having an affair with her married attorney, Taylor dismissed it as gossip. “Oh, it’s just ridiculous,” Taylor laughed. “I spent Valentine’s Day with my little girl and it was just beautiful for us. I am so focused on us right now and then to have this ridiculous stuff coming out in the press, is just frustrating for us, but what are you going to do? It’s what I signed up for.” And she wants to sign up for more!
Taylor thinks her story can help other woman, which is why she believes Bravo should include her in a third season of the show. “If there’s a Season 3, I think it’s important to see what happens next [for me],” she said. “I’m still working on myself. And I have to say for the first time in my life, I’m OK being alone. Every little thing that I thought was going to be so horrible, really hasn’t been. I think for a Season 3 it would be nice for people to see the progression … and the lows too, because it’s certainly not all good days.”
“There is a lot changing in my life right now and I think that people need to see what that looks like as I grow and get stronger, so I think that would be interesting!” I, personally, do not believe we need to see anymore of Taylor – but that’s just me!

THOUGHTS ON TAYLOR’S DECISION TO RELEASE HER STORY SO SOON AFTER RUSSELL’S DEATH? DO YOU WANT TO SEE TAYLOR RETURN FOR SEASON 3 OF RHOBH? DO YOU THINK SHE WILL BE ASKED BACK?
Last night’s third segment of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion began with Taylor, threw in some PamDana, and ended with Kyle and Kim rebuilding their relationship. It was nice to see some real positivity on the show after a season of nonsense and unpredictability. I, for one, hope Kim is able to move forward with peace and positivity.
Things began with Taylor opening up about her gut feeling that foul play may have been involved in Russell‘s death. Perhaps it was. Who knows what to believe at this point. I do know that Camille‘s face when Taylor was talking about this was priceless and amazing and I need a meme of that immediately.
Taylor regales the audience with tales of Russell surveying her in their home, claiming she found a tape recorder under the desk of her office when she was checking the printer. Is she sure the FBI didn’t install those to catch some griftin’ in action? Taylor also describes how Russell made her take a polygraph test to prove she was faithful to him. When she passed, he accused her of knowing how to cheat a polygraph. That, I believe is a very good possibility! Finally, a story of her’s I wholeheartedly believe!

Talking to Celebuzz, Alexis touches on her issues with former friend turned arch-nemesis Peggy Tanous, her thoughts on Russell Armstrong’s tragic death – yes she has opinions, as well as her business endeavors – no she has yet to give up on her clothing line! Below are excerpts from Alexis’ interview -
Late last year, Peggy announced that she is leaving the show. Was it a relief for you to hear that?
It’s so hard, because one day, I wake up and I’m thinking, “What happened? Where did our friendship go wrong? Why did we end up where we are?” And then the next day, I wake up and I’ve seen an episode of how terrible she was [to me], or I remember something that happened and how it was such a shady friendship the minute she got the show, [which] makes me [think] “Oh my gosh, I’m so glad she’s off [the show].” But right now, at this exact moment … I don’t put a lot of emphasis on thinking about her. If she was there and she was a part of the show, great. If she’s not, great. I wish her well. In the first two episodes, you’re gonna see her and I get into it, and it’s gonna probably be the last time you’ll see us interact together.
Do you think your friendship can be salvaged?
I always hope that a friendship can be salvaged, just because I’m kind of a dreamer; I like to think the positive in everything. But at this point, I honestly don’t know. I think there’s been a lot of things that have occurred over the past year and a half, and I just saw a side of Peggy that – I mean, for her to be able to flip that quickly, like, the minute that she became a member of the show, to just switch and go become good friends with Tamra [Barney], and forget about me. I mean, it was like she was all about the limelight and not really thinking about a true friendship.
Did your perception of Real Housewives change amid the Russell Armstrong tragedy?
I mean, that is just something that you just – I mean, it took my breath away! I can’t picture something like that happening. I am sure the show played a little bit in it, just because your life is exemplified in front of millions [of viewers], and things can be said about you that aren’t necessarily true. Once it’s out there, people believe it whether it’s true or not … But I think, at the end of the day, you have to remember, it’s a show, you’re here to entertain people. Don’t take it too personally. I think that him and Taylor, obviously, had a lot going on, and I just wish it would have had a different ending, you know? You always think, “What if?” And for Taylor, it feels that way.
Tell us about the new Housewife, Heather. Did you all get along with her?
Well, I think that, at the end of the day, when it’s all said and done and the season plays out, I think we’re all gonna kind of get along with her. Her and Gretchen [Rossi] had a little bit of a tiff at the beginning. Then, Heather and I get into it a little bit in the middle, and then we have a big blow-up in episode 10-ish. So, once that was all said and done, I felt like Heather and I moved past it and pushed everything aside. I can’t really tell you what it’s about, but I break down in tears and have eyelashes falling off. It’s just a nightmare. It’s not going to be a pretty episode for me [Laughs] … I think Heather is a little buttoned up. Sometimes, she talks like she knows more about things than other people. But, at the end of the day, I think that she’s a really, really sweet person, and I really genuinely like her personality.
So, tell us a little bit more about the second line of Alexis Couture.
It is so crazy! Well, I have two lines. I have Alexis Couture, by myself, where I don’t have anyone else working on that with me, except for my production manager … I only have three dresses in that line, because I launched my first dress, the Black-Braid Maxi, last season, and it went like crazy. I sold more of that one dress than all of the dresses than Alexis by Tal Sheyn sold. That dress is still selling, and I’m gonna bring it out in another color … And then I partnered with Tal Sheyn for Alexis by Tal Sheyn, because she was designing one-of-a-kinds for me, and I had a vision for what I wanted to do. There’s only one of me, and I couldn’t do it! So, together with her, we came up with my first Alexis by Tal Sheyn line. That one did really, really well. Now, we’re launching my second one, and now my second one is doing better than my first one even did and it hasn’t even launched yet! We’re out there marketing it. It hasn’t launched on the show, but it is just crazy! It’s so exciting!
Is the goal to eventually open up your own store?
We just started looking for retail spaces to have a showroom. We are in boutiques now. We’re in one in Orange County, and we’ve almost solidified two or three in Los Angeles. And then we’re even looking at go overseas. Israel is very interested; Australia is very interested. We have a lot of customers from Europe. We’re just getting our feet into those markets and we’re gonna be in boutiques throughout the United States and throughout the world.
Alexis shared some new photos from her Alexis Couture clothing line, and those are below!
In other Alexis news, she is also sharing the secrets to her very happy marriage in an interview with Radar Online, because clearly, we all aspire to have a happy marriage like hers!
Alexis, who shares a previous failed marriage with hubby Jim Bellino, advises couples should never spend more than two nights apart, treat each other with respect at all times, and not call each other names when arguing. “No matter how mad you get… you cannot take your words back,” says Alexis.
In addition to having 20-minute meetings each night after dinner to catch up, Alexis reveals her and Jim always pray together, go to therapy regularly and have a date night at least once a week.
And finally, a new episode of the OC Housewives airs tonight on Bravo! On the 2nd episode this season titled “Southern Hospitality,” Vicki hosts a dinner party, but Peggy and Alexis stir the pot with a fiery feud. Drama is at such a high boil that Peggy ends up making a game-changing decision. Meanwhile, Gretchen poses nude at a charity photo shoot; newbie housewife Heather Dubrow flaunts her privileged life; Vicki and Tamra embark on an overnight trip to Catalina.
The episode airs tonight on Bravo at 9/8c and a preview clip is below!

Tonight is the FINAL (and I hope I mean final) episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ never-ending second season! Don’t worry about missing them, though! Even though we will no longer see the ladies bickering on our TV screens every week, I am most positive we will still be hearing about them in the news. The most exciting part about RHOBH ending is that it now frees my Monday nights up for The Bachelor. Don’t pick Courtney, Ben!
But I digress. Before we let these ladies fade gracefully into sunsets setting behind their palatial mansions, there’s more to discuss concerning Taylor Armstrong and that little book she wrote about her marriage. Now I know there has been much hullabaloo about whether or not Ms. Hughes-Ford-Armstrong-[insert next name here] is telling the truth concerning the domestic abuse that allegedly took place at the hands of former husband Russell Armstrong. Perhaps we are right to question her claims; perhaps not.
Taking heed from Camille Grammerand the internet, the mainstream media is starting to do a little look-see into what they perceive as some inaccuracies in Taylor’s stories. The Daily Beast, which featured a scathing exposé into Russell and Taylor’s grifter behavior this summer, decided to do a little more research on the topic of Taylor and her penchant for dishonesty.
Drawing the most attention to suspicions about Taylor’s alleged claims are Russell’s family and friends; namely his sister Laurie Kelsoe and his childhood friend Randy Edwards. Russell’s family has claimed Taylor never contacted them following Russell’s passing and that they have not seen Kennedy.
Taylor disputes that. “No one has reached out to me and said, ‘Hey, Taylor is there anything we can do for you and Kennedy? No one from his family has called,” Taylor reveals. “Besides, I am in contact with Russell’s dad. I talk with him every couple of weeks and we’ve sent letters back and forth.” Additionally, Taylor claims her attorney has contacted the mothers of Russell’s two older children because she is putting together photo scrapbooks for each of his sons, “And I kept a suit of their dad’s for each of them to have.”
This past weekend Taylor released a medical document confirming she suffered an eye injury in early June. Taylor asserts the injury to her orbital floor was sustained at the hands of Russell at the Four Seasons hotel after celebrating her birthday. According to Taylor the two were partying and when they came back to the hotel a fight ensued about her cheating on him – which culminated when Russell punched her in the the eye. She says almost immediately afterwards her eye turned turned black. “Booze always exacerbated things,” Taylor admits.
Taylor told Dr. Phil in a televised interview filmed shortly after she filed for divorce and released photos of her injuries to the media, that the injury happened at home, yet she explained to The Daily Beast that it happened at a hotel. When asked to explain the shifting story, Taylor clarified, “I just meant when we got home to the hotel.”
Interestingly, the day after the injury supposedly occurred, on June 12th (where her eye was apparently black, according to what she told Dr. Phil on national television), Taylor was tweeting poolside about the amazing weekend she was having! “@TaylorArmstrong Now we’re pool side at the 4 seasons and i am thinking of never leaving … i had the BEST birthday party ever! thank you Russell and all my crazy pals who joined in on the mayhem.” So how does Taylor explain this? Russell forced her to make that tweet! According to Taylor, he “sat next to me and told me what to tweet.”
When asked about the black eye she reportedly told Dr. Phil about, Taylor suddenly denies ever having a black eye from that injury. “No, no. I had orbital floor blowout—never a black eye from the punch.” So what of the photos she released to the media featuring a very prominent black eye? “That,” she says, “was a picture taken after her July 5, 2011, reconstructive surgery, which included inserting titanium mesh inside her orbital floor to, literally, keep her eyeball in the socket.” Umm… so those weren’t photos of alleged abuse? Taylor reportedly sold those photos for six figures under the pretense that they stemmed from injuries sustained by Russell.
So, let’s break this down. According to Taylor’s timeline, she had Lasik surgery in early June. She alleges Russell hit her on June 11, 2011 while vacationing with Russell – after a night of partying. On June 12, she was poolside tweeting. June 16th she was in Dallas visiting friends. On June 18th she was filming again, where all her castmates spent time with her. On June 22, she was at the hospital getting images related to her “Trauma and Right Orbital Fracture,” according to the medical records released this past Friday. Afterwards, the RHOBH cast went to Hawaii and Taylor was filmed talking with Dana Wilkey about wanting to leave Russell. On July 5th she had reconstructive surgery.
In the middle of all of this she was consistently filming for RHOBH and appeared at Lisa’s SUR launch where she claimed (alongside Dr. Sophy) she was “hurt” at the hands of Russell. It was previously reported that filming had to be put on hold for “a month” to let her heal from her wounds; yet during that time period Taylor made numerous appearances in Vegas and Beverly Hills – all of which were photographed. Additionally, several people saw Taylor the weekend after her eye injury and none noticed any injuries or disconcerting behavior!
Asked about the absence of any eye injury in the countless photographs and during the filming of RHOBH, Taylor claims Russell’s “half-open handed jab had caught his knuckle in her eye socket in such a way as to cause only internal injuries, not external injuries.” She said her injuries were worsened because of the Lasik surgery she had shortly before getting hit.
On June 16, Taylor and Russell visited friends in Dallas. Russell’s friend Jim Philips, his girlfriend Katrina and Randy saw Russell and Taylor that weekend. Granted these are close friends of Russell’s and vested in defending their friend, but both Jim and Randy claim to have an amicable relationship with Taylor. “My girlfriend was with me, and a bunch of people saw her [Taylor], tons of people, there were no bruises,” Randy said. “I’m not saying Russ (was) a saint. I know he wasn’t perfect … but he was not the person Taylor says. She is a liar.”
All three mention Taylor had no complaint about her eye and nothing looked amiss. On June 18, Taylor and Russell were filmed in a limo headed to Kyle Richard‘s White Party, allegedly returning from Vegas (not Dallas), and no injuries were apparent.
In the her memoir, Taylor describes having her jaw dislocated after Russell hit her following a 2011 Superbowl party in Dallas. On last week’s reunion, Taylor described popping it back into place over a toilet in the guest bathroom of a friend’s home, where the couple was staying during the visit. In her book, Taylor recounts “massaging it into place” in bed. No mention of a toilet.
Many are shocked by the allegation that Taylor would suffer from a dislocated jaw and have no visible injuries in the days and weeks following. She also states she did not seek medical attention. Taylor declined to give the names of the friends she was staying with when the dislocation occurred so The Daily Beast could verify her account.
A few days after the dislocation supposedly happened, Taylor and Russell were photographed on the Red Carpet for the Women’s Network of Music Celebration. No bruising or apparent side-effects (swelling, drooling, difficulty talking and smiling) were present, and she was smiling in photos. Photos of Taylor at that event are below.
Taylor is now recanting that her jaw was ever dislocated, saying it was “out of place.” She claims producers at Bravo asked her change her story! “I mean the ‘dislocated ‘ word—I mean, I think I described it as ‘out of place’ and in the editing they thought it was confusing so they used ‘dislocation.’ There was no medical diagnosis for that. But it really hurt! It was more painful than my eye.” Taylor also denied “exaggerating” the extent of her injuries.
Speaking out in defense of Russell is long-time friend Jim Phillips, who met Russell in college. “I’m the only person who knows all the bodies, all the personalities surrounding Russell … I knew Russ 30 years,” Jim explains. “As he got older he did a much better job of not getting mad. He was volatile in the past and he was always attracted to women of a similar nature.”
Indeed Russell’s past indiscretions with the law and with domestic incivility has been well documented. His ex-wife called the police over Russell’s abusive behavior (although she interestingly also believes Taylor has fabricated many of her allegations) and Russell’s ex-girlfriend filed a restraining order against him. Russell enrolled in treatment and therapy to control his anger, and both women had a good relationship with the man who fathered their children and have spoken out defending him in the press.
Moving on to another person who questions Taylor’s claims, Brandi Glanville took to her Bravo blog to discuss last week’s reunion and give her perspective. As always, we can count on Brandi to tell it like it is!
“I had absolutely no intention of fighting with Taylor,” Brandi insists. “I have tried to stay out of her business this whole season because I thought nothing good could possibly come from her situation. However when she brought up my personal business, which had nothing to do with her, I fought back.”
“I try and do the right and moral thing as often as possible, but I do have a temper and no one is perfect. I have my own opinion on the Russell/Taylor situation, but I have nothing against her personally. I honestly hope that she can find some peace in her life.”
“I think the Richard sisters have a hard time accepting responsibility for their actions. Excuses and placing blame seem to be their answers to most of life’s problems,” Brandi added. “Looking forward to next week where Kim blames all of her problems on me,” she concludes.
And speaking of the Richards sisters, tonight Kim Richards will speak out about her battle with substance abuse and her decision to enter treatment in the third segment of the RHOBH reunion. Kyle will join Kim for a portion of her interview where the two talk being sisters and dealing with difficult situations. Tonight’s segment will also feature the househusbands and some manufactured drama about Brandi’s supposed sexual interest in Ken Todd. A video clip is below!
The final segment of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion airs on Bravo at 9/10c. A preview clip is below!
