I have a confession. I love American Idol. In 13 years, I haven’t ever missed an episode, and it’s one of the few shows I watch the night it airs. Not live, mind you, because I need the power to fast forward. I constantly try to fast forward the commercials if I watch a show live. The struggle is real.
On Wednesday, I was pleasantly surprised when Nick Fradiani was named the winner of American Idol 14. Quentin Alexander was my favorite contestant this season. After he was eliminated, I was rooting for Nick, but I thought Clark Beckham had it in the bag.
“Everybody was saying I was kind of the underdog, and I think that’s true,” said Nick. He added that expected Clark or Jax to win. “Nobody had me pegged as the winner. I wasn’t doing anything that was really impressing people. Then something clicked the last six weeks or so. I got hot at the right time.” Check out pictures from the Season 14 finale of American Idol below.
The reality stars were out and about this week, attending events, running errands, and more. Teen MomFarrah Abraham ditched MTV for the night and supported Bravo’s Blood, Sweat and Heels at an event celebrating the show’s second season. She was also snapped visiting Planet Hollywood.
After weeks and weeks and weeks of auditions, the American Idol top 12 were announced last night. The top 10 – based on votes – were Maddie Walker, Jax, Tyanna Jones, Sarina Joi-Crowe, and Joey Cook for the girls and Qaasim Middleton, Nick Fradiani, Daniel Seavey, Clark Beckham, and Rayvon Owen for the guys. The wild cards went to Adanna Duru and Quentin Alexander.
I was under the impression that I was the only person in America still watching American Idol, but, um, apparently not. There is no way in hell Daniel, who’s fresh from his mother’s womb, and Qaasim, who’s a seizure waiting to happen, would have made it to the top 24, let alone the top 10, based on my votes. I’m shocked Daniel and Qaasim were voted in over Quentin Alexander and Mark Andrew. Thankfully, the judges saved Quentin (and the season for me) with a wild card, but I mourn the loss of Mark. This competition needs Quentin.
If you’ll recall, Ryan and Bravo began to promote #SHAHctober in September because season four of Shahs of Sunset was supposed to premiere October 13. That promotion went to hell when the post-production crew went on strike.
The rape rumor has been “out there” since and nobody cared enough to clear it up. Until now. Now that everyone’s lost interest and now that there’s a new premiere date on the calendar…. now GG can’t stomach the thought of such a terrible rumor to be “out there” about Mike.
Our favorite reality TV stars cannot get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to social media to share even more of their daily lives with us. And we love them for it! Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite photos from this week. Enjoy!
