Well, this is a little feel good post, and goodness knows we don't get many of those when it comes to the girls of MTV's Teen Mom franchise. Kaily Lowry Marroquin has certainly been having a great few weeks, as you know. Not only was her memoir released last month, it has already made it to the New York Times Best Seller List.
Pride Over Pity chronicles Kailyn's past struggles, including sexual assaults, drug use, and a stint in a homeless shelter. Now married with two children and in college, Kailyn hopes the book will be an opportunity for her fans to see why she is how she is and learn from her experiences.
If you'll recall, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, and Amber Portwood have refused to move forward with Teen Mom with Farrah in tow. They allegedly do not want their kids to share airtime with a porn star hawking sex toys. I do NOT blame them – but there is no show withoutFarrah. IMO. Farrah's special brand of narcissistic crazy makes great TV.
According to Us, MTV exes "willingly cut" Farrah out of the negotiations due to her co-stars' concerns. "MTV agreed," claimed an inside source. "They feel she set a bad example and doesn't represent the network well."
Has it been whole year already? It probably has felt like a life time for Jenelle Evans, as she's been waiting all of this time to divorce Courtland Rogers so she can marry her latest baby daddy Nathan Griffith. Jenelle should be the Teen Mom poster child for good decisions…oh wait, that position is already being held by Farrah Abraham.
Jenelle has patiently waited out North Carolina's one-year separation period for a no fault divorce. Needless to say she was a very busy girl in that year, but still…her day has finally arrived!
I'd bet that one of the best things about being a reality star who decides to write a book is that you already have a built in audience. Seriously, has a reality star ever "written" a book that hasn't ended up on the New York Times Bestseller List? Remember when that recognition was reserved for esteemed authors and not real housewives?
The latest reality star to achieve this honor is Teen Mom 2'sKailyn Lowry with her recently released memoirPride Over Pity. Y'all know Farrah Abraham is seething (and organizing a totally impromptu outing that will somehow, someway be documented by paparazzi she didn't realize were in the area…) over this piece of news!
You can't say that Teen Mom 2'sJenelle Evans doesn't have a type when it comes to the guys she "dates"! Unfortunately for her (and mainly son Jace), that type tends to be loser convicts. Jenelle and her past lovers/husbands/fiances/ baby daddies could fill a photo album with their mug shots, and Jenelle would have a few gems in there herself!
As Jenelle waits to divorce her incarcerated husband Courtland Rogers so she can marry the recently arrested Nathan Griffith who is the father of her unborn child (while feuding with heroine chic homeless ex Kieffer Delp), there is one dude we never hear about–Jace'sactual father (although I hate to use the term father, as he's never acted like one). Well, now Andrew Lewis is back in the picture!
There is no denying that the girls of the Teen Mom franchise haven't always had it easy, and in some cases their overnight success made their lives into an even bigger train wreck. Of course, there are a few of the young mothers that are trying to get their lives back on track.
While one of her counterparts has used her fame to catapult herself into the porn industry, Kailyn Lowry is hoping to that teens can learn from her past experiences that she's sharing in her new book Pride Over Pity.
I don't even know what to say about this – Teen Mom stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra – who are known for placing daughter Carly for adoption – have revealed they're actively trying to get pregnant.
Catelynn, 22, told In Touch that she stopped using birth control three months ago. "I would've felt guilty if I got pregnant again when Carly was 1 or 2, but we've both been yearning for this," she added. "We're ready to have a baby."
Perhaps the next time Dr. Drew presses Teen Mom 2 star, Leah Calvert, she will just keep any info she may have to herself. Or at least throw herself under the bus, and not her ex-husband!
On the first part of the Teen Mom 2 reunion, Dr. Drew asked the girls if there was anything that they ever kept hidden from producers. Most of the girls — smartly — denied hiding things from MTV's prying cameras. Except for Leah Calvert. After hemming and hawing and checking with her husband, Jeremy, Leah decided to drop a bomb about her and ex-husband Corey Simms' relationship up until the week she was set to marry Jeremy.
