Heather Dubrow: ‘We Are Not Perfect People’

Real Housewives of Orange County Heather Dubrow

Let me start by saying, I have always enjoyed Heather Dubrow. Even from her first moments on screen with the other Real Housewives castmates on Orange County, she seemed somewhat normal amongst all the chaos.

Now, this season was a little rough for her, which she continually blamed on miscommunication and one big game of telephone. Despite the drama — much of it created by her bestie, Tamra Judge —  “Fancy Pants Dubrow” continued to remain true to herself and to stand by Tamra.

But now, it seems, that she is asking everyone to forgive the ladies and their behavior, because “no one is perfect.”

“We have put ourselves on a show where our every move is scrutinized. We are not perfect people. No one is perfect. We all do and say things we regret. Most of us do not do it in front of an international audience. You are all entitled to your opinions. It’s what makes the show interesting, fun, and a “watercooler” conversation piece.”

“Regardless what you think about us, the show and/or what you believe truly happened this season — I feel blessed and grateful.

Heather continues, but seems to kind of meander on her way to making a point. “It’s very easy to judge and hate — but why? Does it make you feel better about your own life? Have you never done or said anything you regret? Can you imagine if it were captured for the world to see? I hope to keep growing and learning from my mistakes and my experiences. I hope you all do too. I hope you are all not judged too harshly and are forgiven when you are ready to make amends. Living in a space of hate and resentment is a bad place to exist. It’s much better to love, forgive, and move on. I feel that’s where I’ve come with all of the ladies at this point. Now we will see what the future holds. Thank you again for your support of our family and the show. . .”

Ok. we get it! You don’t want to be painted a villains. Don’t worry — Tamra was the only one painted a mean girl and a pot stirrer. This season some of Heather’s jokes were taken out of context and the ladies got upset, but isn’t that the same thing that happened to her a lot of the time? Remember when Vicki was pretending to fall asleep every time Heather spoke? A joke, but a mean one nonetheless.

I am only really guessing at the meaning of most of what she has to say. Seems to be a lot of nothing if you ask me. It is the last sentence that is really interesting. This is not the first time that Heather has alluded to not coming back for another season of the Real Housewives of Orange County. Is she doing it because she wants to leave the show? Or is this a power play for more media coverage and/or a fatter paycheck from Bravo? Only time will tell.
